"You didn't think I was going to get you tonight did you?" I scream, struggling to get free. He chucked. "Nah-ah-ah. Not going to let you go that easily!"

He dragged me across the roof of the library, the building I had been standing on before he attacked me. He dropped me off the roof, and I landed on the ground, nothing to cushion my fall. I attempted to sit up, wincing in pain as I tried. My dad jumped down after me, landing perfectly on his feet. He grabbed my shoulders, putting his arm around my chest to keep me from moving.

The man I called my father smiled madly, turning his hand into the blade of a sword. I squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for him to cut me. He laughed psychotically and sliced the left side of my nose, my left jawbone, and directly under my right eye. I scream in pain as he vanishes. I laid there on the ground, not wanting to do anything except to just sit there and cry. As I cried I sang "Home" to myself.

"Hold on to me as we go,

As we roll down this unfamiliar rode,

And although this wave is stringing us along,

Just know you're not alone,

'Cause I'm going to make this place your home."

I'm all alone. I have no real home. I had no one to make me a home either. No one would looks at me, let alone really care. After all, who would care about a girl like me?

"Settle down, it'll be clear,

Don't pay no mind to the demons,

They fill you with fear."

How can you not think of the demons that haunt your life? You keep thinking about them, and it makes you even more afraid. I couldn't stop thinking about the one demon in my life. He scared me the most. I couldn't get him out of my mind. Of course, he finds me every day, how could I forget him?

"The trouble it might drag you down,

You get lost you can always be found,"

That was a lie. I've been lost for a while now. No one has me, no one has found me in the pain. I couldn't sing anymore. I was crying too hard. Blood ran down my face from whew he cut me. I heard someone run over to me. It was Maka. I didn't know her as well as I knew Kid, and I still didn't know much about Kid either. I looked at Maka's boots, not being able to focus that well. I was pretty dizzy from blood loss. Everything eventually just became a blur.

"Haley!?" she knelt down next to me. "What happened!?!?"
