Chapter 28

"C-Crona? Wh-what..?" I blushed.

"Are you ok?" He repeated.

"I-I'm fine." I lied. I was bleeding from my arms. Crona looked at my arms, then looked at me.

"N-no. W-we need to get you to D-Dr. Stein."

"N-no! I-I have some bandages with m-me." I pull some bandages out of my other pocket and begin to wrap up my arms, wincing as I did so.

"L-let me." Crona took the bandages from me and started to wrap up my arms. I blushed slightly.

"Th-thanks," He finished wrapping my arms and took me inside the DWMA. "Uhm wh-where are we g-going...?"

"M-my room. I-I'm not going to risk your dad a-attacking you again."

"O-ok...." We made it to his room and I walked in, looking around a bit.

"Y-you can s-sleep on my bed. I can s-sleep in the corner."

"I-I couldn't do that..."

"It's ok," he reassured me. "It isn't the first t-time I've s-slept in the corner."

He grabbed a pillow and sat in the corner. I sat down on his bed and looked at him.

"Wh-why do you sleep in the corner?"

"I'm n-not really s-sure..."

"O-oh." Crona brought his knees up to his chest and put the pillow between them. I laid down on his bed, slightly curling into a ball. I fell asleep pretty quick. Before I completely fell asleep I heard Crona walk up to me and pull the blanket over me. Then, he fell asleep himself, in the corner.

I didn't have nightmares. I felt like Crona could protect me from my dad. I felt safe around Crona now.

I woke up in the morning, still on Crona's bed. I look around the room for a clock, but there was none. I looked over at Crona, who was still sleeping in the corner. I smiled and walked over to Crona. I bent down at kissed the top of his head.

I went back on the bed and sat down when I heard a knock on the door.

"Crona?" Maka asked. I looked over at Crona. He began to wake up a bit. Maka walked in and saw me.

"Haley?" Maka walked up to me and hugged me. "You worried me! Why didn't you leave a note or something!?"
