"Hmm? Oh ok." I hand him the ball back.

"Thank you!" He ran off to play with his friends.

I never played with kids my age when I was about his age. I never got the chance to. I started hiding from my dad when I was six.

I stood up and started walking home. I was pretty cautious because my dad hadn't hurt me today. He didn't even try to find me. Which was odd.

Instead of going to home, I found myself going to the library. Might as well get a book.

I got to the library in about ten minutes. Not many people were there because most people we at home.

I looked around at the rows and rows of books. At first I didn't go to a specific genre, but I went over to the fiction section after a few minutes.

There were so many books. Several shelves were filled up with them. I scanned the shelves, looking for books that really stood out to me.

I was in the back of the library, still looking for a book. I continued the read the titles of the books. Not many really got me interested.

"Maybe there just isn't a book today." I said to myself.

I continued to look anyway. Then, one book caught my eye. It was a tealish blue. I pulled the book from the shelf. The book's title was written it a gold color. The title read: The Soul Binder. I gasped a bit and pulled the Soul Binder out of my pocket.

"Is that a book about me?" It asked.

"Yeah." I whispered. I put the stone back in my pocket and went to the front desk. The librarian looked at me and smiled.

"Someone found interest in that book huh?"

"Yeah, and I was wondering if it was possible that I could just buy the book."

I had money, not a bunch, but some.

"That's possible. It would be $20.00."

"Ok." I had enough for it. I handed her the money and walked out with my book. I flipped through the pages as I walked. It looked like the pages in the back were blank.

"Hmm. That's odd."

I walked back the apartment. I walked in and closed the door behind me. I went and sat on the couch. Maka walked up to me and noticed the book.

"What's that?" She asked.
