Levi stands in the middle of the crowd, staring his father down. His glare never wavers from his, issuing a direct challenge.
Collective gasps run across the audience, followed by silent murmurs. However, my eyes remain on Levi's domineering form, rather than the crowds shocked expressions.
Why is he doing this? I ponder silently.
The moonlight shines down on his brooding form. His muscles ripple under its bright glow as he removes his suit jacket and throws it towards Noah.
Noah easily catches it and smirks.
Levi removes his silk black bow tie and throws it to the ground. He loosens his collar and remains calm as his father slowly walks toward him.
"I can't let him do this," I mutter silently.
I lift the skirt of my white dress and attempt to make my way towards Levi, but don't get very far when two hands encircle around my arms, holding me back.
"Oh no you don't!"
"What?" I question confusedly.
I briefly glance back to see a bobbing red head holding me back, immediately figuring it to be Lex. However, I don't linger on her form for long, quickly turning my gaze back to the scene ahead of me.
"This is what he wants princess, you have to let him do this," she says reassuringly.
I shake my head in frustration. Tears brim the corner of my eyes as I attempt to come up with a plausible motive for his actions, but none come to mind.
I don't reply, instead watching the king proceed towards his son, holding a cold expression.
"Here I thought my son would wait for his father to step down." He sighs in disappointment. "I thought I raised you better than that."
Levi narrows his eyes towards his father in irritation and growls loudly.
"You gave me no choice," he states clearly.
The King turns his head towards my direction, scrutinizing my worried expression, and then quickly turns to face Levi." I see... Very well."
Not a second later, Levi and his father both shift into their wolf forms, circling one another. I watch closely as they scrutinize one another, taking in their movements. It's quite difficult to tell apart their wolves considering they both have the same fur color. However, if one looks closely, there is an obvious bulk and height advantage that Levi has over his father, causing me to slightly smile at his odds.
"You've never seen him fight before, have you?"
This time I turn to glance at Lex as I shake my head. I assess her green floor length dress, being envious of the way it compliments her bright red hair and pale complexion. Lex truly is beautiful, but I guess she prefers to keep it hidden under all that training gear.
"Well then you're in for a surprise. Levi's never lost in a fight."
Before I can reply, loud growling causes me to turn my head.
Their movements are so precise and graceful, making one feel as if they were watching a choreographed number rather than a fight; the fluidity of it causes the crowd to gasp every so often.
It was hard for me to be as enthusiastic as the crowd, seeing as that the man I love is fighting for his birthright.
Wait a second. Did I just admit I love him?
The current fight going on becomes somewhat insignificant compared to my current thoughts.
Love... That's a big commitment... But I wouldn't just say it if I wasn't feeling it. What am I feeling? I question, placing my hand over my chest.
