I woke up to the sounds of Izzi talking with Vanessa. I looked at the clock. It read 6:30.
"Hey guys. What are you talking about?" I asked as I was rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and walking groggily over to Izzi's bed.
"Nothing," Vanessa said, a blush lingering on her cheeks.
"Let me guess," I say with a smirk. "Little Georgie?"
"Maybe," she said, covering her face with her hands and laughing.
"Come on Nessa. You're only thirteen. You shouldn't be focusing on small little crushes. Instead you should be focusing on doing well in your year at Hogwarts," I said, putting my hands on my hips and smirking good-humorously at her.
"I know but he's just so cute," she protested.
"Yeah sure," I said smiling. "Come on. Let's get ready for the day."
We got up from her bed and I made my way to the shower first. I took and quick shower, washing my hair and body quickly before stepping out and letting Izzi in. I stepped into the dorm room and did a spell that would dry my hair instantly and then set to work dressing for the day.
I was imagining what flying class was going to be like today when Izzi broke my thoughts.
"What are we going to do with her?"
"Who?" I asked, still lost in my daydreams.
"Nessa of course. Come on. What is it with you and zoning out lately?" Izzi said, looking somewhat annoyed.
"Sorry. I can't help it. There's just so much to think about. Anyways, what about Nessa?"
"I can't help but wonder if she has a slight obsession over the Weasley twins.""Maybe just a little. But come on...every girl has a slight obsession over them," I pointed out.
"True but still. I think they're too mischievous and pranksters for her. She's so perfect and prim and proper and they're so laid back and...well not perfect," Izzi said, looking guilty for saying this about them and Nessa.
"Yeah. If she does think that she has a huge chance with him, then she has some problems. She does have a small chance though."
"Yeah-" My sentence was cut short as Nessa walked out of the bathroom and walked up to hear the last bit of our conversation.
"Who has problems?" She asked as she dried her hair.
"Um..." I stuttered. "We were just saying how Snape has problems because he gave us a research paper on a potion that cures boils," I said, thankful that I didn't have to lie much on that one.
"Oh yeah. So crazy," Nessa said and I shared a guilty look with Izzi . "Anyways, let's go down to breakfast."
"Okay." We headed down together and had breakfast and then went of to transfiguration with Professor Mcgonagall. It was pretty uneventful although we got to learn how to turn rocks into buttons which I guess could help if I lost a button on my coat.
The next four classes were extremely boring and I almost fell asleep during potions and almost got caught drifting asleep by Professor Snape.
As soon as Snape dismissed us, I jumped out of my seat and quickly walked out of the room with Vanessa trailing behind me.
"Finally. That must have been the most boring class ever," I exclaimed to Vanessa as we walked to the quidditch field. "All we did was lecture!"
"Yeah right? Sometimes he can be so boring," Vanessa said, rolling her eyes at me and smiling.
"Yeah but sometimes he makes class interesting," I pointed out as we stopped at the quidditch field.
On the field there were already many students from Gryffindor and Ravenclaw but no sign of any Slytherins yet.
"Adrienne!"
I turned around to see Hermione running towards me, followed by Harry and Ron.
"Hermione!" I yelled back, running towards her to embrace her in a warm hug.
Unfortunately our reunion was short lived because Madam Hooch had walked up and had instructed us to line up on the left side of our broomsticks.
"Now class. Stick your right hand over the broom and say, 'up!" Soon the air was filled with many voices saying 'up!'
"Up!" I said and the broom immediately flew into my hand. "Woah!" I said astounded that I got it to fly up on the first try. I looked around and saw that only Harry and Draco had gotten theirs to fly first try. I also saw that Ron's broom had flown up and hit him square on the nose. I laughed as Madam Hooch started to give more instructions of flying.
By the end of the class many things had happened. We had started to fly and Neville's broom had flown up and had started to go crazy, trying to fling him off. He then dropped his rememberall that he had been given by his grandmother and Draco had taken hold of it and had started to tease Neville. Harry had to stand up for him as everyone else was too scared to face Draco. After Neville fell off his broom and had to be taken to the hospital wing for a broken wrist, we started to fly again. I found that I was a natural at flying and was even told my Madam Hooch that I should try out for the quidditch team in October. That meant a lot for me considering that I was muggle-born and hadn't ridden a broom in my life before. I couldn't stop smiling after she told me that.
Draco POV:
So far this week has been awful. To start most of the Slytherins classes were with the Ravenclaws and Adrienne is in Ravenclaw. And I can definitely see why. In potions class yesterday, she answered every single question that Professor Snape asked her correctly. She's like a Ravenclaw version of Granger. And it makes me horribly jealous because father expects me to be top in each of my classes. But obviously I can't do that if she's in all of my classes. Each time she would answer a question, I couldn't help but growl furiously under my breath. I knew it was mean and she deserved recognition as a smart mudblood but I was so jealous and angry at her. And then during flying class today she was one of the people that could make their broom fly up in the first try, along with me and Potter. After Longbottom fell off his broom and was taken to the hospital room, we started flying and she was told by Madam Hooch herself that she should try out for the quidditch team. I had some plans to get her back though.A/N: Hey guys I hope you enjoyed this new update. Please comment and vote on how this story is coming along.
