As the students started trickling into the classroom, I saw that we were sharing this class with the Slytherins. According to the time table we were sharing most of our classes with the Slytherins...Unfortunately.

I walked into the classroom and saw that the seating arrangement was up to our own choice so I decided to sit in the second row from the last because I was a terribly shy person. It was mainly Ravenclaw students in the room at first but as the start of class neared, the Slytherins came tromping in, rushing to get to class on time. I looked up from my quidditch book (because seriously...quidditch is awesome 💗) to see Crabbe and Goyle enter and then Draco.

Oh you've got to be kidding me. Can I not get away from this arrogant blonde git? It's driving me crazy. I'm glad that we don't have all of our classes with them I thought to myself, scowling under the cover of my book.

"Oh hello, Fey!" Draco sneered as he walked up to me. "Look's like we have class together. Isn't that great? And it also looks like we have most of our classes together too."

"Wonderful," I said with fake enthusiasm. "Can't wait." Fortunately Snape's voice interrupted our conversation.

Thank goodness I thought as I looked forward, eager to begin class without the distraction of Draco. But the eagerness didn't last long as Draco had plopped himself right behind and by the look of his smug face, wan't moving anytime soon.

Great. What a way to start the day. Snape teaching my favorite class and Mr. Malfoy sitting directly behind me I thought, a scowl starting to form on my face.

"What's wrong, Fey? Thought you could so easily get away from me?" Draco said with a smirk lingering on his pale, white face. I didn't answer him, just turned away from him with a scowl and proceeded to open my potions textbook in an inward disgust of Malfoy.

Fortunately he didn't bother me anymore throughout the class and by the end of it, I had almost forgotten he was there. Since I had read so much about potion-making beforehand, I instantly knew most of the answers to Snape's questions and I could tell I had become his favorite student. Each time I answered a question correctly, I could hear Draco growl furiously under his breath.

I was getting up to leave when Isabella rushed up to me.

"Wow! Since when did you know so much about potions?"

"I've read a lot of books about potion-making and the use of potions when I used to study witchcraft, before I knew magic was real."

"You sound like Hermione. Anyways, I was born into a wizarding family but even then, I was never good at potion-brewing," Isabella exclaimed jealously.

"I've always been fascinated by potions. When I started my studies on wizards for muggle school, I read about Hogwarts and how they could make so many different potions and I really wanted to learn more. So I bought this book and have memorized so much in it," I described to Isabella as we walked to our herbology class.

"That's awesome. You'll have to teach me some time," she said smiling.

"I will. Anyways, are you ready to face herbology?"

"I don't know really. I'm not too keen on plants and stuff. It doesn't seem too interesting to me. But I'll give it a go. What about you?"

"I'm excited. I've always loved plants and have studied them so much in my childhood. I also have a book on herbology and it's so interesting. I already know some of the dangerous plants that are in the forbidden forest or other dangerous places such as devil's snare. But I heard from some third year in Ravenclaw that first years don't actually get to handle the plants. They just lecture on them," I said sighing.
