(Flashback):
I open the door in time to see a flash of white-blonde hair dart around the corner behind a pillar. Professor Dumbledore had already closed his door behind me and I was left to deal with this problem myself. I didn't bother chasing him, considering he would probably be quicker than I would be, so I decided on a different tactic. The halls outside of Dumbledore's office was silent as all the students were either in their common rooms doing homework or at quidditch practices that should almost be finished for the night.
I looked around, still no one was walking through, and my plan went into action. I had my wand ready and just walked away. My plan was that he would follow me, hoping that I'd be going back to the room and slip away unnoticed. And it worked. I turned my head slightly as if looking at the design on one of the columns and did indeed see him following me. I used the petrifying spell on him quickly and dragged him into a side corridor and sat, waiting for my spell to wear off.
(End of Flashback):
"So can I come with you?"
For the fifth time Draco asked if he could go on my journey with me.
"For the fifth time, no! This is my journey and my journey along."
"But he said you could take two other people," he said smirking at me.
"Yes he did but he also said that I could choose those people myself, they don't just volunteer themselves to go," I retorted and with that I darted out of the room and back to my common room. There I found Izzi waiting for me.
"Hey how did the meeting go?" she asked, getting up off the chair she was sitting on and came over to me.
"It was alright. Dumbledore wants me to go on some mission for the school. He said I could have two friends come along with me. Would you want to come?" I asked hopefully.
"Are you kidding me? Of course I would. I'm your best friend and I would go anywhere with you because that's what best friends do."
I breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that since I already had a friend going with me, then Draco wouldn't have to go.
"Thanks so much. Draco's been bugging me about letting him tag along and I've been trying to find excuses to prevent him from coming."
"Wow sounds harsh," Izzi said laughing. "Why don't you just let him come. He could be useful."
"Useful?" I exclaimed. "Maybe but he could just slow us down and prevent us from going anywhere. Oh well. We leave in the morning. I already talked to Dumbledore and he said that you and I could go. So pack your stuff okay?"
"Alright. I'm going to go pack up now so goodnight Anne," Izzi said before heading up the stairs to our dorm room."
"Goodnight, see you in the morning."
~~~Next Morning~~~
We were all ready to leave and had just started on our journey. The school had given us broomsticks to travel on but I had my own Nimbus 2000 so only Izzi needed one.
"You ready?" I asked Izzi. We both had one backpack that we put an undetectable extension charm on so we could have as much space as we wanted. We estimated that out journey would last about 2 1/2 months. Of course since we were trusted in doing this journey, our school and exams wouldn't be affected and would stay the same as when we left. And there was some magic that the teachers are doing that helps us catch up with out schoolwork when we return.
"Okay. I think we're ready to set out," Izzi said to me.
"Okay thanks," I said as we both mounted out brooms and started flying towards the distant peaks of the mountains.
