"Why does it have to be today? Mondays after school? Before quidditch practice?"

I was pacing around my room with Izzi, complaining about my new tutoring job with Draco.

"Oh come on. It's not as bad as you think. You get to leave your last class ten minutes early and it will be good for a position for prefect in a couple of years."

"Now whose talking about education?" I said, raising an eyebrow and smiling at her.

"Oh come on, you know what I mean," Izzi said.

"Yes I do but still. I don't get why Snape had to choose tutoring days on Monday afternoon. I mean there are six other days in the week for him to choose. Does he want my quidditch team to loose?" I griped, now pacing at a faster pace.

"Just don't worry about it and just go about your life like normal and just deal with your problems when they come," Izzi said sympathetically.

"Okay. I guess you're right. Come on let's get to class. We're going to be late for Herbology."

So we walked up towards the greenhouse, and caught up to Hermione, Harry, Ron, Fred, and George.

"Hey Anne. How's it going?" Fred said as soon as Izzi and I walked up to the group. Izzi nudged me and smiled cheekily. I nudged her back, smiling.

"I'm doing well, Fred. Though today is the first day in my downward spiral of tutoring," I said, giving him a sarcastic sad face.

"Oh you're doing tutoring? Who are you tutoring?"

"Draco Malfoy. It's so annoying. He's such a git."

"Oh really. Well that's cool I guess." Fred suddenly seemed to change moods instantly. I didn't take much notice to it because we had just arrived at greenhouse three and Professor Sprout was calling us in.

The entire time we were in our lesson, and it was a double lesson as well, Fred wouldn't look at me or meet my eye contact. Izzi seemed to notice as well but she didn't try anything until the class was over. We had lunch after class and she said she would talk to him.

"Thanks, Izzi. I don't know what's up with him," I said, a little concerned for Fred.

"You know. You may not want to hear this but he may be jealous."

"Jealous? Of what?! The fact that I have to tutor Draco?" I exclaim.

"Yeah probably...I mean come on. Think about it. He's been following you around since second year and if you are tutoring Draco, the he'll have time to spend with you rather than Fred. I mean from his perspective."

"Wow. I never thought about it like that. Maybe he does like me like that," I said, seeing what Izzi's been saying for months now.

"Yes. Finally you're starting to see what everyone has been seeing for months now," she said, cheering slightly.

"Thanks? I guess. But I do understand what you're saying though," I laughed.

"Yeah. Hey what time is it?" Izzi asked. "Because I have quidditch practice soon."

I checked my watch and saw that it was almost five o'clock, which was when I was supposed to meet Professor Snape in the DADA room.

"Crap! I have seven minutes to get from one side of the campus to the other side. Snape is going to kill me if I'm late again!"

So after a long run across the campus, I finally skid in front of the door with two minutes to spare.

Whew. I made it in time I thought as I pushed the door open to find an angry-looking Snape.

"You're late, Miss Fey," h said in his usual monotone voice.

"No I'm not. I'm two minutes early," I retorted, angry that he'd accuse me of something like that.

"Look at the clock," he said as he thrust his pocket watch under my nose, making my face burn with embarrassment that I was being scolded on in front of Draco. So I looked and his watch said that I was two minutes late.

I inwardly groaned at Snape's daftness and just decided to agree.

"Oh okay. My clock must be behind I guess," I said, shrugging my shoulders as if it really was an accident.

He was about to tell me off again when Draco jumped up.

"She wasn't really at fault here, Professor. Just let it be this one time."

Snape hesitated for a second. "All right," he said gruffly. "Just next time, Miss Fey, don't expect me to be so gracious."

Gracious? Yeah right I thought, shrugging my shoulders as Snape started to talk about the things I needed to teach Draco before our OWLs at the end of the year. By the time we finished I had to rush out quickly to go meet with Professor Dumbledore about something. Draco tagged along and I subconsciously shooed him away. I think he left but I wasn't entirely sure.

When I got to Dumbledore's office, the door was cracked open slightly so I knocked and pushed the door open.

"Ah Adrienne. I'm glad you could make it. I wanted to talk to you about a special mission in an area that I think you excel in."

Hmm. This sounds interesting I though as Dumbledore went into detail about the mission.

Once he finished talking he asked me if I had any questions.

"Only one. When's the deadline in which I have to confirm my answer?"

"About a week, so next Friday day by the latest," he said.

"Okay that seems reasonable enough," I said as I headed towards the door. "I'll get back to you by then."

"Oh and Adrienne? You are allowed to invited two friends to help you but no more please. If more I'm afraid it will get too popular and I want to keep this a secret. You can pick the people you want to go with you, just come to me once you have them to confirm with me."

"Okay," I said already knowing who I wanted to pick.

As I turned towards the door, I saw it move a bit, as if someone who was cracking the door to eavesdrop let the door shut suddenly. I opened the door to find someone who I didn't expect to see.
