A/N: Just to clarify before this chapter begins: we have jumped two years later so now Adrienne is a third year and she is currently 14 years old. She and Izzi are still on the quidditch team with the same positions and are excelling greatly at it. Thanks!
Izzi and I were walking across the field from our way from the quidditch arena when we saw Vanessa talking with the Weasley twins. We walked up in time to hear Vanessa laugh hysterically at something George said.
I smiled at Izzi before walking up to them, "hey guys! What's so funny?"
"Oh just something George said," Vanessa replied, a blush coming up on her cheeks.
"Sure," I said, smiling. "Anyways, Izzi and I were just talking about how excited we were when we found out that we had gotten into the Ravenclaw team two years ago."
"Oh yeah. I remember how excited you guys were when you told us after you found out," Fred said, smirking at me with a smile.
"Yeah," Izzi said smiling. "Good times of being first years."
"I know right?" I said laughing. "Anyways. What are you guys up to?"
"Nothing much. Just talking to Vanessa and planning our next pranks," George said, smiling.
"Of course you are. Well Anne and I just finished quidditch practice and we're going to head back to the common room to clean up and head in early," Izzi said.
"What? But it's Friday night," Fed said, looking appalled.
"Who said we were sleeping?" I said, winking at Fred before Izzi and I walked off, leaving Vanessa to chat with the boys.
"So what are we doing tonight?" I asked Izzi, once we were inside the common room.
"Probably just relax...you know read books, talk, etc. Sound good to you?"
"Sounds like a very relaxing night in my opinion. Let's do it!"
So we each took a shower and then dressed into our most comfortable PJ's and plopped into my bed about half an hour later.
"Let's start," Izzi said.
"Okay," I said.
"So...about you and Draco?"
"What about it?" I asked, blushing slightly.
"Is there something going on between you two?"
"Not really. I thought so two years ago when we used to pass notes to each other by owl but not anymore. We barely even share words and usually it's just for homework or something school related."
"Oh. But, if you're interested, I think he's still into you as is Fred."
"Really? You think so?"
"See this is your problem. You're so into schoolwork that you don't notice anything outside. Live your life a little before it's all over!"
"But school is important too, Izzi," I protested, knowing in my heart that she was right, but didn't want to admit it to myself.
"I know it is but seriously. You're already in third year."
"I know. Anyways, are you interested in anyone?"
"Maybe. I don't know. There's honestly no good guys in our year that aren't taken already."
"True. Both the Weasley twins are taken, Harry, Ron, and Draco, if you're into the bad boys," I said, wiggling my eyebrows cheekily.
"Ha so you admit that Draco's good looking," Izzi said, smiling broadly and eyeing me cheekily.
"No... I never said that," I protested but I knew it wouldn't make much of a difference. Once Izzi made up her mind, no one can change it.
"Sure sure," she said, looking unconvinced. "Anyways, what are you planning on doing tomorrow? Want to do something?"
"Sorry but I can't. I said I would go to Hogsmeade with Harry, Ron, and Hermione and after that I have a meeting with Professor Snape about a possible tutor position for me."
"Wow. You sound busy. We'd better get to bed soon anyways," Izzi said.
"Okay. I'm tired now anyways so I'm going to turn in early tonight. Goodnight, Izzi."
"Goodnight, Anne."
~~~Next Morning~~~
I woke up feeling energized and nervous about my meeting concerning DADA with Professor Snape today. I woke up at 8:00 and I had planed on meeting Harry, Ron, and Hermione at 9:00 so I had plenty of time. I saw that Izzi was still sleeping so I got out of bed silently and walked to the bathroom to change. I chose some comfortable leggings and a tee-shirt with my Ravenclaw scarf. I threw my hair up in a ponytail and walked out to get some breakfast. By this time, Izzi had woken up and was sitting up in her bed.
"Hey. Sleep well?" I greeted her, while grabbing some cereal from our cabinets.
"Hey. Yeah. You off to Hogsmeade already?"
"Yeah. I told Harry that I'd meet them at 9:00 so I have about half and hour until I have to leave."
"Nice."
"Yeah. I was planning on going out to the Black Lake for a while."
"Nice. By yourself?"
"Yeah. I need to sort some things out."
"Oh I understand. Well have fun."
"Thanks," I said, finishing my cereal and grabbing a banana as I walked out the door, towards the Black Lake.
I got there and found a nice smooth rock by the edge of the lake and sat down, mind already spinning.
I was thinking about what Izzi said about the fact that I shouldn't focus so much on schoolwork and work on my social life more when I saw movement from across the lake.
As I peered harder across the lake, I could make out white-blonde hair and pale skin and my previous happiness sank to my toes. I quickly got up and retreated to the darkness of the forest behind me, keeping my eyes glued on the figure. As I moved backwards, his eyes shot up from the ground and stared in my direction. Fortunately I was already in the seclusion of the forest by the time he noticed my presence.
Draco POV:
I was walking along the edge of the Black Lake when I heard a twig snap from the direction of across the lake. My eyes snapped up from the group and looked in the direction of the noise. I looked but I couldn't see anything. I thought I saw the shape of a girl hiding in the forest but I couldn't be sure so I gave up looking and continued my walk besides the lake. The more I walked, the more I thought. Not really about anything in particular, just things that have happened in my life. First, in first year, I try to be cool in front of my friends, but Harry Potter, the infamous 'boy who lived' came around and made me feel like a looser. Then in my second year, Harry finds the chamber of secrets and defeats Tom Riddle, aka Voldemort. My father told me that I was the one that had to find and open the chamber or else things wouldn't go so well for me. And, or course, Potter had to go and find it first. Though I suppose being able to speak parseltongue would've been helpful in that situation but still... why is it always him. Sometimes I wish we would just go away and never come back.
Little did I know that he wouldn't be going anywhere much less out of my personal space anytime soon.
A/N: Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed this new chapter. Sorry that it was up so late. I'm just really busy doing school stuff and now that I'm getting more involved in my musical playing, I just don't have that much time to write anymore :(. But hopefully the next chapter will be up earlier than this one was and I hope that I still have your support in this story. Remember to comment about things I should change or things that you would like to see and just plain feedback about what you think. It would mean a lot to me as I'm not really getting much inspiration right now. And thanks so much for over 180 reads. That's amazing!! When I first started this fanfic I never thought that it would grow this much so quickly. So thanks everyone!!
