My alarm clock went off begrudgingly early. I dragged myself out of bed, half asleep, and grabbed my nice, crisp, clean Hogwarts robes from my dresser. I walked into the bathroom and, since I was the first person awake, I decided to take a shower. I let the hot water run over my head and down my back to pool at my feet. That helped me wake up more. After about five minutes or so, I stepped out of the shower, dried myself, and set to work dressing myself in my new Ravenclaw robes. First I put on my black, nylon knee socks. Then I put on my dark grey skirt that fell about two inches above my knees. After that I put on my crisp, white collared shirt with my blue and bronze striped tie. Next came my grey sweater vest and finally, my black robes. I brushed my long brown hair and put it in a high ponytail.

I stepped outside the bathroom and realized it was still early and Isabella and Vanessa were just now starting to wake up. I grabbed my favorite black boots, laced them up quickly, and headed outside through the door, but not before grabbing my favorite book about quidditch I walked quickly down the hallway in the direction of the Great Hall.

I was wandering peacefully down the hallway when I heard voices drifting out from an empty classroom. As I neared the door, I heard one of the voices and I recognized it as Draco's. I didn't recognize the other voice but it was definitely a girl's voice. I peaked inside carefully and saw that Malfoy was arguing with a girl that had short black hair and a sort of a pug face. I think her name was Pansy Parkinson. The two were arguing over something that I think involved their past relations with each other.

"But Draco...you don't understand."

"Pansy! I think I understand perfectly. Maybe you don't understand."

"What I don't understand is how you can have a slight interest in a mudblood."

"Don't talk about her like that, Pansy." Malfoy's eyes had fire burning in them and I could almost feel his anger burn against me.

"But you know, deep down inside your heart, that's what I'm saying is true." Pansy had a smirk plastered in her pug-like face.

Malfoy said something that was inaudible to me so I edged closer to them to try to hear what they were saying. But I suddenly stepped on a floorboard and it creaked under the weight of my foot. Both his and Pansy's heads snapped towards the doorway. I shrank back in fear of them catching me and then turned and fled to the Great Hall. I rushed to the Ravenclaw table and sat, gasping for breath at the end of the table. I opened my book and started to read, trying to look like nothing had just happened.

Draco POV:

I was in an empty classroom arguing with Parkinson, much rather wandering the grounds, when I realized that our conversation had turned from why I don't like to hang out with pug-faced Pansy to how Adrienne was a mudblood.

"Don't talk about her like that, Pansy!" I growled, furious that she would even stoop to calling anyone a mudblood. I just started to tell her to leave her alone when I heard a floorboard creak outside the door. I could tell that Pansy heard it as well because her head snapped around to glare at the door.

"Darn it! I hope no one heard that I like a mudblood," I thought as I looked at the door to see if I could spot any signs of someone outside. The only thing that I could see was a glint of green eyes and a flash of brown hair. I wondered if Pansy saw anything that would make her think that it was Adrienne that was spying on us.

"Did you see anything?" I asked her.

"No I didn't. Did you?" She answered.

Good, she didn't see anything I thought. Because if she knew that it was Fey, she would kill her...literally.

"No I didn't see anything," I lied, trying to keep a straight face. "We should probably go back to the Great Hall before anyone else can come and spy on us."

"You're probably right," she said. "And Draco?"

"Yes?"

"Just think about what I said. And if you ever change your mind, I'll still be here." And with that Pansy walked out of the room, leaving me to walk with my thoughts.

Adrienne POV:

I was still reading my book when the majority of students started trickling into the Great Hall. I looked up to see Isabella and Vanessa walk in, laughing with each other. Behind them came Draco with his two "bodyguards," Crabbe and Goyle. Draco caught my eye for half a second and sent me a smirk that send guilty shivers up my spine. I quickly looked away and waited for Isabella and Vanessa to come sit down.

"Hey! How did you get here so early?" Isabella asked.

"I woke up early and decided to head over before you two woke up," I replied.

"Cool...what book are you reading?"

"A quidditch book. It's my favorite subject besides potions."

"Cool. Unfortunately Professor Snape is our potions teacher. I heard that he is super tough.

"Oh," I sighed, disappointed that the least liked teacher was teaching one of my favorite subjects.

"Oh well, don't dwell on it," Vanessa said sympathetically. "All you have to dwell on is doing well on your classes."

"You're probably right," I sighed halfheartedly.

A/N: Hey guys! I hope you liked this chapter. Please vote on it and comment about what I could be doing better and what I'm doing well in this fanfiction. As I've mentioned before I don't own any of the character, places, or quotes from the Harry Potter books. The only things that I own are the characters I make up, and places I make up. Thanks for reading it. It means a lot to me!
