Last Words and New Beginnings

A little love.

"So did everything go okay today?" The nurse asks me as I sign black back into the hospital.

"Couldn't have been better!" I smile setting down the pen. She takes the clipboard from me and starts typing something into the computer.

"Have you figured out anything about black yet?" I ask

"We'll, police think they have a lead on where he came from... They're thinking somewhere from the United States."

"Really?" I say shocked "that far?"

"Yeah, that's what I said when I heard it too."

"So how'd he get all the way to London ?"

"We'll sweet heart, that is the question... Ain't it.?"

"Sure is." I smile. "I'll see you tomorrow to bring black out again."

"Alright darling. Drive safe!"

I smile at her and approach my hummer.

I pull into the driveway and I can see Sam through the window. He's watching sports. Figures. I smile at him from my car and start to walk to the front door.

I open the door and smile at him. He gets up off his chair and comes over to me.

"Oh so I'm worth getting off your chair... Huh?" I smile at him.

"Sure are" he jokes back. I start to laugh and that makes him smile. I poke his perfectly placed dimples. His expression suddenly changes to serious. He looks at me hard. He looks pissed. Then he smiles and giggles, clearly playing. This makes me laugh harder and I fling my arms around his neck. He picks me up and carries me in to the living room. I scream and giggle and he swings me around.

"Welcome back!!" The announcer on the television says. Sam glances at the tv and then back to me. He sets me down and sits on the couch indulged back into his sports.

I sigh.

I walk in front of the television and Sam just gets pulled right back into the world of sports . I walk up to my room and put on my white an pink polka doted pajamas .
