37) Let Him Be

Saito-

Saito shouldn't have told Demitri about what would happen in three days. Because now he's acting up again. Saito doesn't blame Demitri for his outbursts. Saito gets it; Demitri wants to get Luna back.

Saito, too, wants to get Claire back. But he can't have Demitri messing up the plans. Xavier was precise about what was going to happen. They got word through Claire's wolf.

"Demitri, will you relax? Just wait two more days, that's it," Saito said.

"Well, I can't wait. I'm going with Scott," he said. 

Scott will be going to get Claire while Xavier and Skyler make their escape with Luna and Sapphire. The portal will open at Zeus' throne. It'll be a risky move, but they are running out of time. They only learn that Lunic isn't who they thought she was.

Saito still can't believe Lunic isn't a good person. They haven't seen Lunic for quite some time. Everyone suspects she's run off, hiding. It saddens Saito to know Lunic could be planning to do something evil.

"No," Saito said. "With how panicky you're acting, you'll only get in their way. What if something goes wrong because you can't control your anger? What if Sapphire or Luna get hurt?"

"I can be careful," Demitri raked his fingers through his hair, sticking it up in all directions.

"Scott," Saito looked at Scott for help.

Scott grinned. "I ain't stopping shopping, Demitri. His woman is in danger; I would do the same thing. So long as he follows the plans, I don't see why he can't go."

"Seriously?" Saito groaned. He knows something terrible is going to happen with Demitri going.

"Yes," Scott said and returned to planning, adding Demitri to the plans.

The plan is Sam and Erick will stay behind just in case. Scott, Demitri, and Irena will get Claire.

After about an hour or so, they were gone. Saito still thought it was a bad idea to take Demitri. But what can Saito do? Demitri is determined to get Luna back at all costs.

"He left, huh?" Senna asked, holding baby Koa.

"Yeah, stubborn boy," Saito said.

"Let Demitri be; he just wants what belongs to him," she said.

"I know, but what if something goes wrong," Saito said.

"Then he'll fix it," she said.

"Or make it worse," Saito sighs. "Ouch," he rubs his arm. Senna had punched his arm, and Koa copied Senna, making a little fist and hitting his arm. Saito pretended like it hurt. "Ow."

Senna chuckle. "Have confidence that Demitri will do the right thing."

"I know," Saito stood.

"Have faith; I know there isn't much faith going around. But I know things will turn out well for everyone. Duke will die by someone's hand, or he will go straight to the departed part of hell and get forgotten. As for any of his associates, they'll go down with him."
