Saito POV

"Hey Saito! C'mere a sec," Harada-sensei called me over. I shivered in my jogging bottoms and t-shirt because even though it's December, he still makes us train outside. "Yes s-sir?" I shivered and he chuckled, slapping my shoulder, "Come on Saito you're gonna freeze if you stand still. What happened to our hand?" He asked me and my face tinted red.....because of the cold obviously.

"Uh um someone grabbed my wrist a little too tight." I can't lie or I stuttered badly so I told him the truth - well half of it. "Who?" He asked. "A boy." I replied and he sighed. "Saito this is like pulling teeth, who grabbed your wrist and broke it?" He looked at it. "It's online a hairline fracture. And fine it was Okita Souji but he's apologised so it's fine sensei." I said quickly not wanting to get him in trouble because he would probably break my hand for real.

Harada put his hand on his head, "That Souji, geez. Right well I'll have a word with him okay?" He asked with a smile but I shook my head, confusing the red haired teacher. "It's alright sir, really I'm fine. I'll be out of my bandage by Christmas so it's okay. Thank you for our concern." I bowed and ran back to Chizuru and Heisuke.

"What was that about?" Chizuru said jumping up and down to keep herself from freezing. "He wanted to know what happened to my hand that's all." Heisuke winced slightly, "Think Souji will be mad that you squealed?" I shook my head. "I didn't squeal Heisuke. I answered a question, he has no right to be angry with me."

"Hey. Saito."

Oh dear.

"O-Okita-San, our study session on chemistry now right." I stuttered as he glared at me, his green eyes burning with the urge to hit me, his clenched fists and tensed arms making him extremely readable. "I have detention for harassing a student later today, did you know that?" He stalked slowly up to me in the library. I shook my head, backing up.

My heel hit the book case and I panicked as he got closer and closer to me. "S-stop, get back." I put my non-fractured hand out but he grabbed it in a tight grip. "Please don't! I didn't mean to get you in trouble Souji! H-Harada-sensei just asked a-about my hand and I c-can't lie very well and and-!" I panicked at his clenched jaw, i could see him gnashing his teeth from here

"Do you realise, how hard it is for me not to beat the living shit out of you right now?" He growled. My heart was in my throat, I wanted to vomit from nerves so I nodded mutely to him, slightly cowering below his height. He grabbed the lapels of my blazer and slammed me into the book shelf, the collision causing a few books to fall on us. I winced at the slightly throbbing on my back and head, refusing to make eye contact with the green eyed psychopath.

"God I want to hit you, I want to hit you so bad my fists are shaking." It was true they were and I was terrified. What is with him! He apologies yesterday and earlier today then this! "A-Souji please..." I cowarded into the bookcase behind me. He was breathing heavily into my face and I shut eyes tight.

"Hands off Okita."

My eyes snapped open to see Chizuru glaring at the boy much taller and much stronger than her. "Ch-Chizuru, it's fine. G-go away. " I urged her and Souji slammed me backwards into the bookshelf and I yelped. "I said hands off Okita!" She barked at him, pushing his chest to et him off me. "Who's this your girlfriend?" He sneered at the short, chestnut haired girl.

"No. I'm his friend and friends protect each other from dumbass bakas like you." She snapped and I was shocked. Who knew she had such fury inside this tiny little body. "Let's go Saito. Let him fail, who cares?" She grabbed my hand and began dragging me towards the door. I let her as my legs were still shaking, along with my heart hammering in my chest.

Once off the school grounds, Heisuke was leaning against a lamppost with his headphones in but jumped when Chizuru patted his shoulder, "Oh hey! Wait though you were tutoring?" He ur questioned me. I shook my head quietly and Chizuru answers. "Does he always treat you that way? Hajime that isn't right, you have to tell." She pleaded with me but I shook my head. "I'm fine. He just scared me a little that's all. He didn't actually hit me or anything so it's fine. I'm fine." I said and pushed my chin into my white scarf.

"I need to get home anyway. Bye guys, thanks Chiz." I said and began my journey home. Sticking my hands in my pockets, I shivered at the cold winter air, the light dusting of snow at feet and my air condensing in front of me. I knew I shouldn't have told Harada-Sensei, I knew it would cause trouble. This is why I stick to Heisuke and Chizuru, they are mostly drama free. Mostly.

"Hajime-Kun."

Shit. I kept walking, but footsteps quickly crunched the snow behind me and he was beside me, "Get away from me Souji. I swear I'll - I'll call the police!" I stepped back from him, stepping onto the road. He stepped closer and I stepped back. He glared at me, "Come over here." He motioned towards him but I refused stepping even further back. "Saito get off the road!" He barked at me but I glared.

"No, I'm not going anywhere near you! Get away from me you dickhead!" I yelled back and he looked angry but also tense. "Hey! Your the one calling names yet I'm the dickhead?" He scoffed. "Yes! You've hurt me so many times and I haven't known you a week yet! Get away from-"

HONK!

Headlights shone at me and I froze, a dear in headlights. The van skidded closer and I choked on my breathe before a force hit me, sending me backwards onto the other footpath. The can driver glared at me and honked again as he drove past. I lay in shock, but looked down onto my chest, to see Souji lying on top of me; his hand on the back of my head and his arm around my torso.

"Jesus Christ you really are a fucking idiot sometimes Hajime." He chuckled and looked up at me. My jaw opened and closed a few times before I found my voice, "Y-you saved m-me, thank-k y-you." I stuttered from shock and the cold. He pulled me into his lap and hugged me, "Don't be stupid Baka." He whispered then pulled us up, re wrapping my scarf around my neck. "There we go. Good as new."

Your an enigma Okita Souji.
