UNEDITED CUS IM NOT AT HOME
Saito POV
"Saito-Kun!" Chizuru and Heisuke waved showing up at my front door, "It's six in the morning, what are you doing here?" I yawned as my front door was closed by my two best friends. "Heisuke can't risk being late again so we decided if we go with you, then we can't be late!" Chizuru grinned and I chuckled then yawned.
"Well I usually don't get up yet. So stay quiet while I get half an hour more sleep." I let them in the kitchen with tea and toast, heading back to my bed for a few more blissful minutes of badly wanted sleep. I had nightmares all last night, jolting awake four times before I actually fell into a deep sleep at five am.
My wrist stung as it usually did in the morning and I grimaced, realising I wasn't going to get anymore so decided to shower instead. Tugging at the knots in my dark purple hair, I kept my arm with a cast outside the shower door awkwardly, and washed my hair, a few drops of the shampoo getting into my eyes and I groaned. "God damn it." I muttered as my vision blurred, eye watered and stung.
Stumbling half blind I changed into my uniform and prepare my school bag, along with some study notes I made out for Okita-San, "Hey Saito! You ready yet?" Heisuke called, "Yeah one sec!" I called back and slipped my headphones into my pocket.
Bringing Chizuru and Heisuke to school with me was more eventful than I thought as a group of girls cornered Heisuke, giving him numbers and multiple Christmas presents. "Imma lucky guy!" He grinned, parcels stacked to his chin from his waist. "I wonder if Okita-Senpai will get you a gift Saito-San." Chizuru said absentmindedly.
"I doubt it Chiz. Right you too go on to class, I need to man the gate as Kaoru obviously isn't here." I sighed. I swear that kid never listens, "Alright, see you at lunch Saito!" Chizuru called, smiling with her big brown eyes creased at the sides. "Bye chiz." I smiled, shaking my head at her. She works very hard to keep Heisuke in check while always making sure she has time for me, making surer in okay.
"Morning Hajime-kun!"
I groaned. "Good morning Okita-San." I said, not looking at him and r chuckled, wrapping arms around my shoulders from behind and leaning on me, "That's not a very good way of thanking your hero now is it?" He smirked in my ear and I stiffened, blushing at his breathe on my neck. "I-I," I stuttered and he chuckled. "You can pay me back by coming to a party with me this weekend, I need someone to stay sober to make sure I get home." He laughed.
"Your seventeen! And a martial arts champion why you be so stupid as to get completely drunk?!" I pushed him off, turning around glaring at him. He raised his eyebrows, "Hey it's my body and my life I can do whatever the fuck and want no one can say shit." I winced at his cursing and he chuckled, bending his knees till he was my height. "Call me Senpai. We're friends, but I'm still older than you." He winked and i glared , "You are not my Senpai." I snapped and he chuckled.
"Oh but I am, you owe me for saving your life yesterday Hajime-Kun."
Crap. He's right, damn his stupid smirking green eyes and that stupid grin. Dickhead. "Fine. Thank you for saving my life yesterday, Senpai." I said and he grinned, "Yeah that's sounds good. Well see you tomorrow!" He began walking back out the school gate so I grabbed his ear.
"Your not ditching! We have studying to do! I have pulled you from all your classes so you can catch up to what their doing and I have permission from all your teachers so don't even try to complain because your not getting out of it Okita-San!"
"Ahem." He coughed
"Senpai."
He patted my head laughing, "Good boy," I slapped his hand away and he continued to grin at me. "I'm not a dog." I glared and he chuckled. "Why do you always get so angry and frustrated around me?" He asked as we began walking to the student council room. I didn't answer, I didn't know how.
"Right so your so far behind in literature my class, the year below, is ahead of you." I said taking out a poetry book, notepad, his phone onto voice memos and setting up a table at the back so we wouldn't disturb other council members. After a while, Okita-San began to understand how to analyse and back up his opinions in his essay.
"And done." I close the book and his eyes grew to saucers, "Seriously? We're done?!" He exclaimed and I nodded, "Yes, done literature that is." I said and took out some health education booklets. "Okay so you need to go and hand this essay into Hijikata-sensei, before lunch." I gathered his pages, handing him a hole punch and thin plastic file. "Why before lunch?" He asked.
"Because we have lunch next and he leaves after lunch on a Friday, he still attends a university for late afternoon classes as he's only 22." I said packing up my books for lunch and he grabbed my wrist. "He seems so old! He's so grumpy al the time I didn't realise he was that young!" Okita yelled and I slapped his head. The council turned to stare and I apologised, "Sorry Pres."
I said to Chikage-Senpai. He raised his eyebrow and finished the meeting."Saito-Kun, may I speak with you for a minute?" He asked me and I nodded. "Okita-San," I turned to Okita who glared at me, "Fine, Okita-senpai. Meet me back here in an hour. History and Geography next." I handed him a few books and he groaned. He glared at Chikage for a moment then left without a word.
"What did you want to talk to me about Pres?" I asked and he leant against his desk with a slight smirk on his face. "So I've noticed you spending a lot of time with Okita-Kun recently. Why is that? Your usually so quiet and shy by yourself." He chuckled slightly and I shrugged, feeling slightly nervous.
"I-I have been tutoring him and he's quite far behind so it's gonna take a while." I said, but felt bad bashing Okita slightly, he's been working really hard - surprisingly. "I could get him a proper tutor isn't of you wasting your time on it?" He offered smiling, wait was that a hidden insult.
"I don't believe I'm wasting my time President Chikage." I said defensively. "Are you sure? Okita hasn't ever lifted a book in his life, the only reason he's still in school is because of his physical abilities. He's all brawn and no brains." Chikage shook his head, like he was disappointed.
I frowned at him, "Your wrong. Okita-Senpai while being incredibly talented in sports is also excellent in academics. He's not the 'jock' steep type most people peg him to be!" My fists clenched at his condescending smirk.
"Hajime," he stepped closer to me and held my shoulders. Clenching my teeth I looked up at his red eyes, "He's a waste of time who's only slight skill is beating people up. He's really not worth anyone's time, especially someone like you." I pushed him offC stepping back and grabbing my bag.
"Your wrong. You don't know Souji." I spat and he laughed. "Oh and you do? After five days? After him beating you up twice in those five days? You don't know him either Hajime-kun."
