Third person POV

Hajime Saito had left Hakuouki Highschool, leaving behind the three most important people in the world to him; his thoughts drifted to his friends and short term boyfriend back in Japan, "I miss you guys..." He mumbled in Japanese so the American student Jason didn't understand him.

"Hey um Hajime? You alright?" The student who had been paired to the new student asked. The purple haired boy nodded, "Yes, I'm alright." He replied in English. Learning English had been a hobby of his for nearly six years so he spoke fluently much to his teachers surprise. "Jason?" He said the foreign name slowly to pronounce it correctly, "Can you show me where the library is?" He asked.

"Sure bro, you need anything just ask." He shouldered the purple haired boy playfully.  After being shown to the quiet, book filled room, memories of tutoring Souji filled his head, heartache filtering through his chest. Damn it, why can't I stop hurting? This is why I didn't want to fall in love with him, I knew it would just hurt! He thought miserably.

Taking out his new phone, Saito looked at their numbers. Having only four contacts; his mother, Heisuke, Chizuru and Souji, he hadn't received any word from his home.

"No phones allowed." The librarian snapped at the him, he shoved the phone in his pocket. Thinking to him self Hajime questioned his ties with his friends, should he cut ties completely with them? Would it be easier to completely leave his last life behind? Or should he hold onto the heartache until the day he could see them again?

Meanwhile back in Kyoto Japan, the trio sat at lunch, talking aimlessly about topics that had no real meaning. "Hey wait, Souji your exams are coming up have you been studying?" Chizuru asked him. The green eyed boy snapped out of his lovesick trance to rejoin the conversation. "What? Oh yeah, they are in four weeks. Yes I have studying my ass off. I'm gonna pass with straight A's not just for me but for him too." The boy remembered his vow to Kondo-Sensei but also to Hajime.

"We will help you as much as we can, along with studying for our own exams." The two second years smiled at him. "Thank you you two." He hugged them as they packed up their finished lunches and headed back to class.

The weeks began to speed up, the exams looming for the Japanese teens, Saito moved up into his final year of highschool after being allowed to skip third year because of his intelligence; Souji became a senior student, Chizuru and Heisuke moved up into third year and memories of all friendships began to slowly fade.

Saito POV

"Hey Hajime! Me and a few friends are going to this cafe after school, wanna come?" Jason, now one of my best friends offered. "Sure, lemme just grab my phone." I said, turning back to my laptop and disconnecting the charger cable from my handset, "Who all's going?" I asked smiling, the aching of my heart had finally began to cease after months of pain.

"Connor, Skylar, and Seb." Jason listed and I nodded. "What about Ella or Sam?" I said. "Nah they can't make it, they have college viewings today." He said and I nodded in understanding. "Yeah I have one tomorrow, lets go then." I said and he cheered.

Meeting up with our group of friends, we headed towards the cafe and grabbed a booth, "What colleges are you going to see tomorrow?" Seb asked me, "Yale tomorrow." I said sipping my coffee and they chuckled, "Fucking brainiac, you skipped a whole damn year and will off to college before any of us!" Connor ruffled my hair and I chuckled. "Well guess it's just all the fish I eat." I joked and they laughed. They blame all the fish and 'Japanesey stuff' for my intelligence.

"Hey you've only been here what a couple of months yet your accent isn't as strong anymore." Skylar commented and I shrugged. "Different dialects I guess. What colleges are you guys looking at?" I asked them.

"Haven't thought about it much to be honest," Skylar stretched, "My parents are all about Stanford so I don't really have a say, but it's cool cuz I want to be a family lawyer anyway." Jason said and I nodded.

"How about we all go hang at my place for a bit? It's fucking cold," Seb shivered and we agreed, heading to his house. We watched movies and laughed about whatever the conversation was, "Hey Hajime you're gay right?" Seb said and I nodded, "Yeah why?" I asked and he smirked, walking over to me, "Cuz I have a huge crush on Connor and don't know how to tell him. Help me!" Seb hissed in my ear and I laughed. "Just tell him! Your both bi he may like you, you never know." I pushed him towards Connor.

They disappeared and I sat down with Jason and Skyler. "Seb is about to tell Connor he likes him so fair warning things could possibly get awkward." I said and they sighed. "Only two fifths of us are straight! I can only talk about girls with Skylar dammit cuz you guys don't like em." Jason pouted as Skylar and I laughed.

"Connor and Seb are bi they still like girls but I'm straight up gay...wait." I said and hey burst out laughing. "Shut up baka's." I hit them and they continued to laugh. "Yeah whatever, I'm watching  this so shut up!" Skylar hushed us and went back to watching Fast and Furious.

I smiled at my newly made friends who I became close with pretty quickly, I miss Heisuke and Chizuru still, and Souji even more but....its doesn't hurt anymore, they are just happy memories now.

Hey warriors! So it's been a few months since Saito moved to America! He's flying in school and had made new friend but hasn't forgotten his old ones. How do you think Heisuke, Chizuru and more importantly Souji are feeling right now?

Guess you'll have to see in the next chapter!
