I Wish (Sergio Ramos) #14

"Be honest." Anna spoke on the phone as she leaned against her couch. "What did you really think of Sergio!" Yes it had been a month since they've last seen each other although they never had the time to really speak on the aftermath of her recent visit. Claudio chuckled on the other end of the line. "What I need an actual opinion from you. He is my best friend, you are also my best and childhood friend."

"If he's been your best friend, why do you need an opinion? You've known this guy for years bella." Claudio didn't feel the need to give his opinion of him, not that it had been a bad one but he didn't feel the need to. He had hit it off with Sergio when they last visited.

"You promised me remember." Annabelle thought back to when they were only five years old. They were talking nonsense at the time because they had just finished an old Italian flick that involved a marriage. For some reason the small, seemingly meaningless comment stuck to her for the many years to come. They grew up like brother and sister, they made promises to each other that they still kept, even twenty years later. Their promise when they were toddlers were to literally have each other's blessings on a significant other. They swore on it the way they've always sworn on things, two pinkies, a nose touch and a handshake to seal the deal. (To this day.) "You can't go back on a promise. You get your nipples twisted off that way." Which was the punishment. Claudio shared a hearty laugh again.

"You know whoever will make you happy will always get my blessing." The word 'happy' was never used lightly between them either. It meant what it meant, to its very core meaning. "Besides mi bella, I saw how you were with him. Nothing but smiles."

"Tonight may be the night." Anna admitted without giving it another thought to tell him. She had been thinking long and hard about wanting to give up something she valued the most to him. She trusted him, with her life, but for some reason this was something else she couldn't quiet warm up to so soon despite the years the two had on each other.

"So soon?" Claudio was actually taken aback, he didn't think this early in the relationship. "Annabelle. You've seen him in a relationship before but you've never been in one with him. It's different between you guys now." She contemplated. In a way, he was correct. She hasn't seen Sergio get upset with her in a way a boyfriend would a girlfriend, or how he was when he was cranky as a boyfriend. There were still a few things she would like to experience with him before they both shared this intimacy. "You okay?" Claudio hadn't heard from her in awhile. She admitted she was rethinking her decision because of him. "I just wanted to make sure you were completely ready for this. I know how much this means to you."

Claudio was well aware of how she put her virginity on a pedestal, a high one at that. Between the two of them, when they were teenagers, there was one night where they had almost. It started out so innocently between them, sharing kisses to compare and contrast and learn what their strong and weak points were. He used too much tongue, she bit a lot, but both knew how to coach them into becoming a great kisser. Claudio vividly remembered how he, that night, let his testosterone get the best of him, and used the excuse that she's know him for years when he pulled of her shirt and laid her on top of the bed. For some time, Annabelle had also seemed very into what they were doing before she realized he wasn't the one and it wasn't the time. She had pushed him off and slapped him across the face for going too far. The slap brought him back into reality, he apologized to her over and over again. Annabelle had been so upset that she almost let it happen and told him to get out. Needless to say, she forgave him before he sent her bouquets of flowers to her door.

"Thank you..." She knew she needed to talk to him. He was always a voice of reason at moments like this when she would make rash decisions based on her current emotions. He always brought her down to reality and made her seethe consequences or conditions of her actions. "Ciao." Was her last word to him before they ended their conversation fifteen minutes later. On the other end, Claudio pondered why there was jealously that bubbled up inside him earlier when she spoke of giving away something that meant the most to her to another man. He tried his best to shove it off before going about the rest of his day. As if on cue, Sergio came through the door filled with laughs and smiles. He wasn't alone. He was accompanied with Iker, Xabi, and Gerard. "Oh hi!" She rose to her feet, as she was taught to when she was younger. "I didn't expect guests. I would've dressed nicer." She felt her face flush pink. She was only in an old sundress from last year. She planned on staying in but in case she had to go outside, she wanted something she could walk straight out of. "How are you guys." She welcomed them in with a smile. Now this came as second nature to her, to welcome people into her home and be the best hostess she could. As a child, Annabelle would do this for her father and his company, whoever it may be. Her ultimate goal was to have a family of her own. They greeted her with warm smiles.

"Don't even worry about it Anna." Iker waved his hand off. It was a silent "you're fine" between the two.

"And no sweetie, don't worry about getting them drinks, I'll take care of them." Sergio placed his hands on her shoulders and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "They're my problem not yours." He joked. Annabelle couldn't help but smile.

"Did you want me to leave?" She couldn't help but ask. It was all right if she did, maybe she would get a couple things tonight for dinner. She already had her bag in her hands. "I was thinking about getting stuff for dinner anyway." She announced before anyone could reject the idea. "Are you guys going to be joining us? The more the merrier!" They collectively shook their heads no.

"We're just hanging out for a couple hours love." Sergio reappeared with several drinks on his arms. "Call me when you're home, I'll help you with the groceries." He kissed her once more before he left. She wouldn't mind giving her virginity to him at all.
