It's been around two weeks and I can tell Lily is starting to feel a little distant. She's quiet the whole time she lays in my arms. I ask her if she's okay and she just smiles. But I can tell that there's something wrong. This has been the best month of my life and I hope it has been hers too. But there has been something she hasn't been telling me and it has been eating at her.

I still feel like she is hiding something from me, which is weird since she is the most straight up person I have ever met. Everywhere we go, it's like she is always scared something is going to happen. Every time I ask her she tells me she's fine. So, I went to her sister because I'm worried about Lily. I park my car outside her house and I can't help but remember the last time I was here; I didn't end in good terms with Julie but I plan to make them right.

I knock on her door and a few seconds later I am greeted by a not so happy go lucky, just woken up, Julie.

Adrian: "Hey."

Julie: "I don't think I've ever heard you not say hello."

Adrian: "What do you mean? I just did, didn't I?"

She chuckles and says "never mind."

Julie: "What do you want? Lily isn't here, if that's who you are looking for."

Adrian: "Actually, I'm here to talk to you."

Julie: "Me? Why?"

Adrian: "I wanted to apologize for what happened with me and your sister."

Julie: "It's okay, I figured I owed it to her since I've been acting like a spoiled brat. I honestly didn't know anything about what happened with Alex. I was to stubborn to ask. You have to believe me."

Adrian: "It's okay Julie, I do."

Julie: "You're good for her."

Adrian: "That's also kind of why I'm here. She's been acting kind of weird lately, like if there's something bothering her. And when I ask, she just brushes it away and says she's fine."

Julie: "I'm sorry Adrian, if Lily isn't telling you something, maybe it's because she doesn't want you to know."

While trying to hide her facial expression behind the door, she looks as if she were battling to tell me.

Adrian: "If Lily were in any danger you would tell me right?"

She just shrugs and politely asks me to leave. I'm starting to worry about her. There is something going on and it's not good.

As I'm headed towards the bar, I see Bret and he's with another guy.

Adrian: "Hey man!"

Bret looks my way, waves and says goodbye to his friend.

Bret: "Adrian, I haven't seen you since you arrived."

Adrian: "I know I've been busy with work."

He smiles at me.

Adrian: "You're creepy, you know that? What now?"

Bret: "Yea I know but I also know that there's a girl involved."

Adrian: "Is it that obvious."

Bret: "Yes it is man, now spill!"

Adrian: "Her name is Lily Walker."

Something weird flashes on Bret's face.

Adrian: "What's wrong?"

Bret: "Nothing, her name just sounds really familiar."

Adrian: "How could it? She's not from her."

Bret: "Yea, I guess your right. Ha-ha. So what is she like?"

Adrian: "She's funny, witty and insanely beautiful!"

Bret: "Sounds like a keeper. Maybe you should introduce me sometime."

I move closer to him as he leans back.

Adrian: "Don't you fucking dare."

Bret: "Woah man! It was just a joke."

Adrian: "You're not funny."

Bret: "Well I think I am, but no really, I was just kidding. I would never do that."

I smile to him but try to brush him off but he speaks again.

Brett: "If you are so crazy for her, than why are you sitting here alone at a bar and not with her?"

I shrug my shoulders.

Adrian: "Sometimes I feel like she's keeping something from me and by the way she acts sometimes, it's something bad."

Bret: "What do you think it is?"

Adrian: "I don't know. I love her and it kills me to think she's dealing with something so big, alone."

Bret: "She will tell you eventually. You just have to give her some time."

Adrian: "Thank you. You're a great friend."

Bret: "Actually no I'm not, I'm here to kill you."

He wraps both of his arms around my neck and starts to laugh. Damn, he has a strong grip.

Adrian: "You little fucker!"

I start to laugh.

Bret: "Told ya I was funny."

He winks at me, that little fucker winked at me. As hestarts to walk out the door, I yell out "Sure you are!"
