Chapter 19 (Lily)

Skylar: "Look at them becoming friends!"

I turn around to see Adrian and Jesse laughing together. That sight makes me extremely happy. Jesse was the first person I ever told about my secret. He was always there for me and was always my favorite man in this world. Now, I have two beautiful caring men in my life. My best-friend and my boyfriend becoming friends was a dream come true.

Skylar: "So how did you guys meet?"

Lily: "We met on the airplane, he ended up sitting right next to me."

Skylar: "Hahaha, just the thought of you freaking out in the plane and him having to deal with you makes me laugh."

Lily: "Yea haha, I was sure that after that, he wouldn't ever want to see me again."

I look over to him and he smiles.

Lily: "Guess not."

Skylar: "I know I just got here, but i already know that man is head over heels for you."

Lily: "And I for him."

We had spent the day walking around Cali and when we return to the apartment, I throw myself on the couch and Adrian sits next to me and lays my feet on his lap.

Adrian: "Tired?"

Lily: "Extremely."

He looks at me smiles and starts to massage my feet. This man never fails to surprise me.

Adrian: "You know I have to start work on Monday."

I haven't been able to stop thinking about that. I just didn't want to bring it up.

Lily: "Yea, I know. How am I going to survive without you?"

Adrian: "You will, and now that you have Jesse and Skylar here, you won't be alone."

Adrian: "My friend Bret is hosting a charity tomorrow; would you like to come?"

Lily: "Hm, with you?"

Adrian: "Umm, yes."

Lily: "I don't know; I'll have to check my plans."

He looks at me with confusion in his eyes and I can't help but giggle.

Lily: "You need to lighten up. Of course I'll go!"

I lean forward and plant a small kiss on his lips.

I hear Skylar cough which reminds me that they are sitting across from us on the other couch. I try to ask as low as possible.

Lily: "Can they stay here with us?"

Adrian: "Sure."

I give him my cutest mad look.

Adrians: chuckles "What?"

Lily: "Don't say sure. I don't like that word. It makes it sound emotionless or like your just agreeing to agree."

Adrian: "Okay Lily, they can stay here. Which means you won't stay here alone when I'm gone."

I keep glaring at him and he just laughs.

Adrian: "Hey Jesse, Skylar, you can stay here if you'd like."

Skylar gets off the couch and lays on top of Jesse.

Skylar: "I thought you'd never ask!"

Lily: "Did you guys even have anywhere else to stay?"

Skylar: "Nope, we were just hoping you guys would ask."

Jesse: "I had a plan B but i trust in Skylar's skills."

We all start laughing and for the first time I feel whole. I finally found someone who makes me happy and my best friends are here with me. It can't get any better than this. This has been a birthday to remember.
