I did something stupid. Very stupid. Let me tell you what happened and just wait.
I just finished processing the photos I took of the boys. We had a photoshoot for their new album cover. It went along just fine. I called Freddie yesterday just like I said I would. I made an appointment with the band for today to do the shoot. I told Jim about it and he agreed. He went with me to the shoot to see how it was going to all go down. I had called employees to help me with the lighting and equipment. The band came on time to get their hair and make up ready for the photos. I asked them how exactly they wanted to look for the album.
"Just casual, darling, but still just a bit curious." Freddie told me. I nodded. I thought of some ways I could have made that possible for Freddie. I thought of some poses they could have done, and then I thought of the lighting. The lighting would have definitely added an effect. I told Jim about my idea and he loved it. He told me how glad he was to find me as an assistant so far. Once the boys were ready I told them to sit together in any way they wanted to. They started to fool around a little. I took some photos of them doing so just to test the camera. It was worth it anyways since it captured the moment. They tried to become serious for the photo but it took them a while. They finally calmed down and posed for the camera. I took some shots, told them to change their poses once in a while. I took more photos. About ten minutes later I decided that was enough. The boys thanked me and left. Jim and I left back to the office.
"Can you call Richard to confirm the 4:30 meeting with him tomorrow?" Jim asked me once we got back.
"Sure thing."
"You did a fabulous job by the way, darling." he said. "I think that went very well. It sort of brings the weight off our shoulders on how we were going to design the album cover."
"Oh, you're welcome, Jim. It was no problem at all." I smiled and went back into my office. I called his client and confirmed his meeting. I worked for a few more hours. It was five o'clock and it was time to go home. I gathered my stuff. I was about to leave until the phone rang. I picked it up and answered it.
"Beach's office."
"Hello Dahlia, how are you darling" It was Roger
"Oh hey, Roger, I'm doing alright."
"That's good. You're still at the office?"
"I was about to head out."
"Oh that's perfect. Would you like to go to dinner with me tonight?"
"Tonight?"
"Don't worry, you don't need to dress up. Just to a regular restaurant, nothing fancy."
"Are you sure your girlfriend won't mind? I don't want to cause any misunderstanding."
"Oh don't worry, she's out of town for a while."
"Well, I guess a meal wouldn't hurt."
"So you want to?"
"Yea I will, where are you going to pick me up?"
"I'm outside of the building." I was a bit shocked at what he said. He was waiting for me already. He planned this out.
"Oh, ok, I'll be down in a few minutes." I hung up the phone. I left my office and passed by Jim. I told him goodbye and he did the same. Jo had already gone home with Lucy. I exited the building and looked for Roger. I looked around but couldn't find him. Until I saw a black car across the street with a a blonde man with sunglasses on. It was him. I smiled and walked towards him. He invited me in his car. We drove for a while to a restaurant. It wasn't too fancy like he said, but it was still around that level. Roger got out of the car first. He walked around and opened the door for me. He held out his hand and I took a hold of it. We walked inside to get a table.
