Skylar's fifth birthday is in a week. Crazy how time can fly. She's really excited about it. I invited family and friends. I invited Roger a week early to spend extra time with her. I decided to at least let him come in contact with her more. I told him to bring his kids and Debbie if she wanted to. She couldn't make it but I think there's another story. He came yesterday afternoon. Marty went to go pick them up from the airport. I was a little nervous about Sky's reaction. But I had an excuse to tell her. I told her Roger was a very good friend of mine whom I met when I moved to London (which was true) and he became close to me.

I made sure the house was clean since they were going to be staying with us until they leave back for London. I know it seems odd to let them stay, but this as close as he'll be to Skylar in five years. She was also going to meet her half siblings. This is so crazy how many people she's related to.

I heard Marty's car pull up into the driveway. My heart skipped a beat. I was nervous. What if she'd find out somehow? Skylar came running into the living room with me.

"They're already here?" She asked

"Yea" I told her. "I want you to behave, okay? Be nice." Roger came out of the car. His children came out afterwards. Marty helped them take out the luggage from the car. They began to walk to the front door. I opened up for them.

"Roger!" I greeted.

"Dahlia, hello dearie." He greeted back with a smile.

"I hope your flight went well."

"It was bearable." We both laughed. They walked into the house. They set their luggage on the floor. They were exhausted.

"Dahlia, these are my children Felix and Rory." Roger said.

"Hello" Felix greeted. Rory didn't speak. She must have been shy. She looks a year older than Sky.

"It's nice to meet the both of you. I think you guys met Skylar right?" Skylar smiled at them. She said hello.

"Are you guys hungry? That was a long trip." Marty said.

"Quite hungry" Felix said in a stern tone.

"Felix" Roger scorned him.

"It's okay" I chuckled. "I made some hamburgers." They all ate and went to sleep afterwards.

The next day while the kids were playing, I was with Tony feeding him some baby food. Marty was out working for the day. Roger woke up around two in the afternoon.

"Good morning" I chuckled. His hair was a mess and his eyes were still sleeping.

"Good morning" he mumbled.

"Do you want coffee?"

"Yes please, thank you." I got up and poured him a cup. He took a sip.

"You're still getting used to the change in time zone"

"I don't understand how my children are already up."

"I was the same way when I moved to London. I forced myself out of bed to get to work. It was worse when I came back."
