January 3, 1984

I'm back in London. Happy to be back. It's 1984 now, as you can see on the entry date. I woke up to very cold weather. It was snowing actually. Although it should stop. There's enough snow already. It was a nice sight to see it this way in the morning. I got myself ready for work. I drank a cup of coffee and turned on the news. Regular weather reports and what-not, same-old same-old. I went back to work. Started off great. Happy to be doing my job again. I'm enjoying it very much. Jim is such a great boss. He asked me how my trip was.

"It was much warmer than I remembered." I said. "Even for the Winter."

"I could use some warm weather right now" he said. "My nose is freezing off my face." We both laughed.

"I have to get to work." I said

"Oh wait, darling, could you organize an appointment for me with Paul Prenter for this Friday."

"Sure thing." I walked into my office and set my stuff down. I picked up the phone and dialed the number. It rang a  few times and someone picked it up on the other line.

"Paul here" I heard him say

"Hello, Mr. Prenter, I'm just calling from Mr. Beach's office. He wants to arrange a meeting for you two on Friday."

"Oh of course. This Friday?"

"Yes, sir. At what time would you like the appointment to be held?"

"Is eleven in the morning alright?" I checked through the agenda book.

"Eleven in the morning is perfect, sir."

"Great, thank you miss..."

"Flores, sir."

"You're not that new assistant Jim hired, are you?"

"I am."

"I don't think we've properly met. Well this still technically isn't proper but at least we know each other now."

"Yea, well, I guess we'll really be meeting each other on Friday."

"Of course, good bye." He hung up the phone. I set it down and continued my work. Later that day I went to lunch with Jo. Lucy was sick today so she stayed home. Jo and I went to a diner about three blocks from work.

"So how was your holiday?" She asked me. She was chowing down on a hamburger she ordered.

"It was really fun! Spent a lot of time with my family. They were really happy I was able to go."

"I'm sure they were. You're so far from them."

"Yea, what did you do?"

"Me and Lucy had a family gathering. We actually announced our engagement to our families."

"Oh my god! Congratulations!"

"Thank you, darling." She smiled.

"When is the wedding?"

"We are thinking maybe around June. She was quite surprised when I proposed."

"That is so sweet. I hope the best for you both. Really"

"Thank you." About an hour later we left to go back to work. I had some paperwork to do that would probably take me hours to finish. I heard laughter coming from Jim's office. He had some company over. I looked at the agenda book. He had an appointment today with the boys. Roger was here. He was actually here. I've waited so long to see him again. But I couldn't just show my happiness right there. We had to be alone. I hated this, I really do, but what else can we do other than just quitting this entire thing, or just telling them our secret? There was really no option. I had to go the copy room anyway. I walked out of my office and saw them standing. They all turned they're heads and saw me.

"Hello, Dahlia. Glad you could be back, darling." Freddie said

"It's good to be back, Freddie. Brian, John, Roger, how was your holiday?"

"It went very well, thank you for asking." Brian said. I smiled at all of them, including Roger who smiled back.

"Well, I'll see you all around" I left the office. I went down to the copy room to do what I needed to do. When I was finished I went back up to the office. All of them were gone including Jim. He probably went to walk them down. I put a stack of forms he needed to see on his desk. I walked into my office. I was about to sit on my chair until someone hugged me from behind. I gasped a little until I realized who it was. I smiled at the feeling of him kissing my neck and up my jawline.

"Roger, please, I'm at work." I moaned

"I couldn't wait much longer, dear. I missed you so much." I turned around and kissed him on his precious lips. He pinned me up against the wall.

"Wait, where are the boys, they're going to wonder where you went."

"Just three minutes, darling." He continued to kiss me.

"Jim's going to be up soon."

"We're all going to lunch right now, I said I forgot my glasses."

"Sure is taking a while to find them." I smiled. His hand went up my skirt. I stopped him. "Not yet." He whined.

"I haven't touched you for ages. Just one bit?"

"No, you'll have to wait."

"For what?"

"You'll see."

"Don't tease me" He growled

"I'm sorry, Roger, but you'll have to wait a few more hours."

"I can't wait that long."

"It'll be worth it, trust me." He kissed me one last time.

"Alright then. I should be going then. I have to go kill some time before tonight." He opened the door. I sat at my desk. Roger turned around and said goodbye to me.

Later that night I gave him what he wanted. It was worth the wait. I missed him so much and I was so happy tonight to be with him again. I was so relieved to be with him again. I have never felt this way about anyone before.
