Chapter 29

Alexandria

The next morning we were on our way to Sydney. We'd booked an early flight, in hopes to avoid fans showing up. It was easier to avoid being mobbed when there was only one of them. I did suggest that we drive up, rather than fly for a couple of reasons; one that we'd avoid fan interactions, unless we made a pitstop somewhere and two it meant we could have more privacy. Ashton talked me out of that though, "we'll have as much privacy as we want once we get to Sydney," he told me, "mum's still working and the kids will be at school, most of the day,"

We'd spent the night before, cuddling on my couch watching Netflix and sneaking in a couple of kisses here and there. Both of us were hesitant at first, given the fact that we decided to take it slow, so neither of us could end up hurt again.

We arrived at Tullamarine, (Melbourne airport) at seven am, we got the earliest flight we could, so we could make the most of our time in Sydney; even though we'd be there for a while. I was extremely nervous about going back to Sydney. I hadn't been there in the longest time, since New Years 2012 going into 2013. I also hadn't stayed in contact with any of my friends; they probably would have heard about what went down between Ash and I, and I knew a lot of the girls would have something to say about it. I always got along with guys, more so than I did girls.

The flight to Sydney landed at nine am, and we were greeted by Anne, Lauren and Harry. Ashton's younger siblings were completely surprised to see me. He clearly hadn't told them I was coming. Lauren ran straight into my arms, "Oh My God!" She said, when I hugged her back, "Lex! What are you doing here?"
"I'm staying for a little while," I told her, I pulled out of her hug, and went to hug her younger brother.
We walked to the car and Ashton held my hand the entire time. A few fans had shown up to the airport, but not too many. And for the most part, they kept their distance.

The drive back to the Irwin household took around an hour, I'd forgotten how far out Western Sydney was from there. We got out of the car, grabbed our bags and walked inside. I walked straight towards the spare room, not knowing whether or not Anne would want me staying with Ashton in his room, "why are you putting your stuff in here?" Lauren surprised me, she was standing in the door way
"Umm..." I honestly didn't know what to say, "I thought it would make your mum more comfortable if I stayed in here, considering..."
"Mum doesn't care Lex," she laughed, "we all knew that you would sneak in to Ash's room when you guys were together originally,"
"What?" I was in shock, I honestly thought we were being discreet when I did that, obviously not
"My room is right next to here," she said, "I heard everything,"
"Why didn't you say anything?" I asked
"I wanted to, but mum said she'd have a word to Ash," she said

We sat in the spare room talking for a little while, just basic catching up, when she asked me, what I knew she'd been wanting to ask for a while now, "so what happened?" She asked
"What do you mean doll?"
"Between you and Ash? Like why did he come home earlier this week looking like a wreck?"
"I think you know what happened Hun," I said, "you would have heard the audio clip,"
"Yeah, I did,"
"Then you'd know that Ash walked out when I told him how I felt," I said, "and then he showed up at my work the next day, and tried to tell me how he felt, but I wouldn't let him. I'm guessing that's why he came here,"
"But what's going on now? I know he went back to Melbourne to try and win you back, but he called mum the other day, and said that he was going to tell you he loved you, but that he couldn't be with you, because he didn't want to hurt you again,"
"Yeah, that happened," I sighed, "he changed his mind,"
"I gathered that, I mean you're here,"
"Yeah," I smiled at the young girl
"And I'm glad you are,"
"Really?" I asked
"Yeah, I've been wanting you and Ash to get back together since day one, we all fucking hated Bryana,"
"Wow, I don't think I've ever heard you swear before," I laughed at the fourteen year old
"Well I'm older now," she laughed, "can I ask a question?"
"Sure,"
"Did you know about Ash and Bryana when you and him began..."
"When we began hooking up?" I asked
"Please don't say that, it's disgusting thinking of my brother,"
"You asked," I defended my self
"But yeah, when that started,"
"I'd like to lie and say no I didn't, but I did," I sighed, "he told me, the first night I saw him, but it still didn't stop anything from happening,"
