Chapter 21

Pov change. Lex's POV is the night before Ashtons, incase you get confused. It just made more sense to have Ashton's first as it left off where the previous chapter did :)

Ashton

"ASHTON!" My mum yelled out again. And by that I knew she meant business. I checked the time on my phone, and it was only seven am, what the fuck is going on? I asked my self, as I struggled to get out of bed. I grabbed a t-shirt out of my suitcase and walked downstairs
"What's up?" I asked, "it's so early," I complained. I took a look at her face, and I couldn't decipher her mood. She looked angry, and disappointed; but I couldn't be sure
"What's this?" She asked, sliding her iPad over to me, "please tell me this isn't true,"
I took a look at the Apple device and read the article from Sugarscape.

Looks like Ashton Irwin has been having more fun in Melbourne than we all thought. Mere hours ago, were audio clips of conversations taking place between everyone's favourite drummer and an unknown girl, presumed to be the girl from the Instagram photo he posted last week. The other clip was between the same girl and Luke's girlfriend Briella Jacobs.

We've since found out that the girl in question is his ex girlfriend from before the 5SOS days; Lex Johnson.

The audio is very fuzzy as it seems to have been recorded on a phone, but you can get what they're saying. We have them linked here.

I couldn't read anymore, "I can explain mum," I told her
"That you cheated on your girlfriend? And then walked out on Lex after she told you she loved you?" She asked, "I'm very disappointed in you,"
"So am I mum, believe me,"
"Does Lex know that this has leaked?"
"I don't know, probably," I groaned, "she's gonna hate me even more now,"
"Yeah and you probably deserve it," mum scoffed, "please tell me you ended it with Bryana before this became public,"
"I did," I told her, "Friday night,"
"Before or after you walked out on Lex?"
"After," I sighed
"I really think you need to go back, and make things right with Lex,"
"Mum, she told me she never wants to see me again," I groaned
"What's going on?" The voice of my younger sister Lauren, came from behind me, "why are we yelling it's so early?"
"Can you leave us alone for a bit?" I asked her, "mum and I are having a serious conversation,"
"I'm not stupid Ash," she said, "I've read the article,"
"Lauren," mum warned
"What?" She asked, "everyone's messaging me and asking about it,"
"Just leave it alone," I told her
"Lauren, just go to your room," mum said

Lauren left the kitchen shortly after and mum began to speak again, "you know, she probably thought the same thing to herself last time,"
"What do you mean?"
"Like when you left last time and didn't contact her? She probably told her self she never wanted to see or speak to her again, but clearly it's not the case,"
"Yeah I guess, but now this time is so different mum," I said, "this is everywhere, I'm surprised management haven't called yet,"
"You really do have some explaining to do," she told me, "I have one question though,"
"Yeah?" I asked, I was concerned about what it would be, I had no idea what my mum would ask
"How did this get leaked? I'm assuming you and Lex were pretty discreet,"
"We were," I told her, "we were so fucking careful..."
"Ashton, language," she cut me off
"Sorry mum," I said, and then continued, "we only hooked up at her apartment like once," I began, well that was a lie. We hooked up multiple times there, but it was all in the space of less than thirty six hours, "which was when I went over there to talk to her, when I first arrived,"
"So basically straight after I told you not to do anything, until you'd ended things with Bryana, you did the complete opposite,"
"I couldn't help it mum,"
"I'm gonna guess that something happened at the club as well then?"
"Yeah," I sighed, "that's when it started,"
"Can you please give me some answers though, Ash? Because I'm worried,"
"So we hooked up at the club and I took her back to the hotel. She left the next morning. The Monday night, I couldn't control what I was feeling so I just went over there after calling Leanne for the address," I began, "we decided the next morning after nearly getting busted by her housemate that we wouldn't do anything there anymore," I continued explaining the rest of the story to my mum, "her housemate ended up starting that rumour about me getting her pregnant, so Lex stayed in the hotel,"
"And no one noticed?"
"Luke knew, and eventually told Elle, and Erin knew,"
"Erin?" Mum asked
"Lex's boss, and her old boss from here too,"
"Oh, I'm surprised Erin didn't try to talk Lex out of it," she said
"Same mum,"
"So I'm going to assume Lex's housemate, was the one who leaked this story?"
"She's the only one it could have been," I said, "id have to ask Elle if Cailin was there when she came over to talk to Lex,"
