Chapter 40

KATHRYN's POV

"Wow!" I exclaimed nang makarating kami sa peak ng bundok na hinike namin. Well, I actually inivited Daniel since ayaw niya pumunta.

"What a beautiful site. Isn't it?"

"I told you!" I chuckled, "Sabi mo pa, hindi mo pa ako sasamahan."

"Hahayaan ba kita? Masyadong matarik ang bundok and what if something happened to you?"

I rolled my eyes. "Ang negative mo, mahal."

Sandali siyang natigilan and when I glanced at him, he had those narrowed eyes staring at me. Napatakip ako sa bibig nang marealize ko anong nasabi ko.

"Shit! I'm sor -"

He cutted me off by sealing our lips together. "You don't have to say sorry because you said it. It feels so good, mahal. I love calling you like that, and same goes with you."

I poked his cheeks and smiled geniunely. "'Diba sabi mo maghihintay ako? I shouldn't have said that - "

"You don't have to wait forever."

"Maybe." I shrugged.

Matapos ang momentum namin ay naglatag siya ng picnic sheets. Kinuha ko 'yung binaon namin na cup noodles para makapag-lunch naman kami. Maya-maya na siguro kami babalik pababa, we can't stay any longer here.

"Are you alright?" Daniel asked me when he glanced at me.

I nod. "Yeah, I'm just tired."

"You are always tired. Kahapon sabi mo pagod ka, then now?"

"Araw-araw mo rin kasi akong pinapagod." I winked at him, he just grinned at me.

Umupo na rin siya sa tabi ko and I handed him the cup of noodles with the heated water on it. I was leaning on his chest as we ate the food.

"Napakaganda talaga ng view."

"Kasing ganda mo, mahal."

Pinalo ko siya sa hita. "Bolero! Araw-araw mo na kaya akong sinasabihan niyan!"

"Ayaw mo nun?" Daniel kissed the side of my head, "You are the only woman I compliment almost everyday. Well, of course maliban kay Mama."

Napatayo kaagad ako at tumingin sa kaniya. "Speaking of Mama Karla, she called me yesterday."

"Anong sabi niya?"

I shrugged. "Nothing. Kinamusta niya lang tayo at baka daw next week ay babalik na tayo sa Manila," I smiled at him. "Ang bilis lang ng panahon. We're gonna go back from the reality again.."

He sighed. "Let's enjoy the remaining days."

Ibinaba niya ang hawak ko na cup noodles bago hilahin ang mukha ko para halikan niya. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him the intensity he wants.

I twitched my lips. "How much time can we do for our make out?" natatawang tanong ko.

"Hmm, an hour?"

I smiled before kissing him again. Kissing him like there's no tomorrow.

Maghahapon na nang maisipan naming bumaba na sa bundok. We hiked again, but its not that quite hard for us, since we're going down and we knew the shortcut already.

"Water?" iniabot naman sa'kin ni Daniel ang isang mineral bottle. I obliged him and drank it.

"Thank you!" ibinalik ko naman sa kaniya 'yun, "Malayo pa ba?"
