Here's the next chapter! I'm so sorry about the major delay in the update, but when my public exams ended on the 30th of November, my Vacation Dance School started and I've been uber-busy from 8-5.30 every day! (It's super fun though, haha). I'll try to update more frequently. That's a promise! I hope you like this chapter... I loved writing it, haha! :P Picture of Troy and Dahlia on the side. :D

Chapter 11

"Luna, thank heavens you're safe," Raven exclaimed. "I hadn't seen you since the attack. Are you okay?"

"As okay as I can be with Troy, Cedric and Sapphire hating me," Luna replied, folding up her camouflage cloak. She looked exhausted and her white-blonde hair was sticking up in clumps around her silver diadem. Despite her dishevelled appearance, she still managed to maintain a regal countenance.

"Too right you are," Cedric said, glaring at her. "How could you let them go there and not let Dahlia return? They went on your word, didn't they? You told them what they had to do and they trusted you to keep them safe. Now she's gone!"

"They knew," Sapphire interrupted, surprising Luna for Sapphire had more reason to hate her at the moment than either Troy or Cedric. At least the boys knew that Varmer would not harm Dahlia. But Tamarak was expendable; Sapphire could do nothing to help him. "Kayla and Tamarak knew what they were getting into when they signed up for it. They agreed to take the risks."

"But not Dahlia," Troy said, fury flaring up inside him. "She didn't know, I didn't know, Hunter didn't know! And we did trust you, Luna! We thought that we would succeed and that we would all be safe! We didn't think for a second that you would risk sacrificing our lives! We thought that we could trust you!"

"You did succeed," Luna said softly. "You successfully brought Helen back from the dead. You have much to be thankful for."

Helen shook her head sharply. "Yeah, but Kayla's dead, Luna! How's that a success? We may have got Jenna back, but we traded her for three magicians: Dahlia, Tamarak and Hunter. Nothing's changed. In fact, things have gotten worse!"

Helen was feeling dejected; normally, she tried to be optimistic. Troy was furious, Cedric was angry, Sapphire was miserable, Raven was upset and Arulan was confused and frustrated at the same time.

"Look," Luna said, trying to keep her voice even. "Let Elliot explain to you about the blood and then I'll tell you all about the prophecy and anything else that you want to know. It's time that you know the truth. All of you."

All of them sat down nervously around Elliot's magnified computer screen with a bunch of glowing blood samples on it. They clustered in groups: Arulan standing along with his arms crossed, Troy in a wooden chair with Helen and Raven sitting cross-legged at his feet, and Sapphire, Cedric and Romulus on a bunch of chair that they had pulled from beside beds. Elliot stood next to his computer screen and Luna paced up and down behind them.

Elliot cleared his throat nervously. "Uh, this is a sample of Helen's blood," he said, pointing to a cell sample on the screen. This,"- he pointed to an unidentifiable blob to everyone but Elliot, Sapphire and Troy-, "is her elemental power of fire. That,"- he pointed again at a different spot-, "is her telepathy ability."

"So what are those?" Helen asked, poking her fingers at several other random blobs dotting the magnified image of her red blood cell.
