Chapter 90: On The Trail

   Back in the Ninja World, we return to Naruto, and his old friend Sasuke, in the cave shelter by the Hidden Sand.

   In the cave, the two are holding each other as they are asleep on the sandy ground. Naruto begins to open his eyes to see the sun shining through. "It's already morning? Wow that went by fast. (Sees Sasuke on his chest, asleep) Sasuke! Wake up!" Naruto shouted loudly, but Sasuke didn't budge. So Naruto then moved over slightly and Sasuke plopped into the sand. "(Sneezes and wakes up) Huh? Naruto, why did you move over?" Sasuke asked him. "Well its sunny out, and we gotta get you to Middle-Earth. We are on a sorta time table." Naruto explained as he was getting his pants on. Sasuke sighed, "I thought I told you that I am not coming with you. Itachi is possibly using this moment as a trap or something, so that is why I am not falling for it." He explained. As Naruto was putting on his jacket, he heard Kurama's voice. "Naruto! I have found them!" Kurama had stated. "Hold on a second Sasuke, I have to talk to Kurama about something." Naruto stated. "Kurama? You mean the Nine Tails?" Sasuke asked in confusion. Naruto satd back down in the sand and closed his eyes.

   When Naruto opens his eyes, he appears in the Tailed Beast Psyche. Kurama was smiling and began to speak, "After we left Middle-Earth, I have been trying to pinpoint the Chakra of the captured Jinchuriki. But not too long ago, somehow I was able to discover them. All of them." He explained to Naruto. "What? I thought you said they were in Middle-Earth not too long ago?" Naruto asked in confusion. "Well they were, but then they moved to here. I don't know why someone would move them, but they did. However, with my knowledge of these Dark Abyss bozos, they would move their prisoners only if they are making their largest move." Kurama replied. Naruto then stood up, "That means we have to go back! Middle-Earth is in a crisis, they have to be stopped!" He shouted at Kurama. The beast laughed, "Don't forget that your friend Matt is in charge their. Have faith in him." Kurama reminded Naruto, who calmed down quickly. "Oh yeah. Then we can go and get the Jinchuriki since we are here." Naruto rephrased. "Then tell your boyfriend of this. I have to boil my mind after what you two had done last night." Kurama walked away. "SASUKE ISN'T MY BOYFRIEND!! IT WAS A ONE NIGHT THING!" Naruto's yell echoed throughout the large room and Kurama held his paws over his ears. "(Thinking: Much better.)" Kurama thought to himself.

    Naruto opened his eyes again to see Sasuke has his clothes are on. He takes his ninja sword and puts it back in its sheathe. "What did he tell you, Naruto?" Sasuke asked him. Naruto stands up and walks over to the cave entrance, "We have more business to do here apparently. (Turns around and looks at Sasuke) The Jinchuriki, they had been captured by that bastard Madara. Kurama located their Chakra signal and they are here in our world. We need to save them!" Naruto explained. Sasuke smiled, "Well then. We are near the Hidden Sand after all, we could ask Gaara." Sasuke suggested to him. Naruto thought it over and responded, "Yes. That would be a good choice. (Looks around) By chance is Matthews still here?" Naruto then brought up. From the depths of the cave, Matthews comes walking in. "You called?" He said, as he was putting on his coat. "We are heading to the Hidden Sand Village again, there are still things here that need to be done." Naruto stated. "Then let us be off." Matthews agreed. Naruto walks out of the cave with Sasuke and Matthews behind him.

    Naruto, Sasuke and Matthews have left their cave shelter and returned to the desert sands. With the heat rising, it gives some weary to the group. Small water rations are left at their disposal. "(Huffing) How long.. Must we walk?" Sasuke asked as he was trying to breathe. "The Sand Village should be nearby. You two hold on a tad bit longer." Matthews explained. Naruto walked over to Sasuke and gave him the water jug. Sasuke grabs it and quickly jugs it down his throat. "Try not to finish the whole thing. That is our last one." Naruto stated, and Sasuke stopped drinking from it. He closes the cap and hands it back over to Naruto. "Thank you, Naruto." He said with a smile on his face. "Don't forget, that was a one night thing. I am with Hinata through and through." Naruto said as he walked on ahead. The three continued to walk, and they finally reached their destination. "The Hidden Sand Village. It felt like just yesterday we were here fighting against the Akatsuki, well in a way we were. Never mind then." Matthews stated. "Let's go and see Gaara. Maybe he knows something about the other Jinchuriki." Naruto suggested. Sasuke turned his back away from the village walls, "I shouldn't go in. After all I am still considered a threat to the other villages within the Shinobi Alliance." He said. "Don't worry Naruto, I will keep an eye on him. You go on ahead, find the Kazekage and see if he has any information regarding your Jinchuriki." Matthews had offered and told him the plan. "Be safe you two. I will be right back." Naruto then ran off leaving the others behind. Sasuke sat himself down in the sand, and Matthews looked down on him. "Just letting you know Uchiha. (Sasuke turns his head, listening) I heard all of that noise last night, and I almost never went to sleep. But thankfully I had a magic soundproof spell, and then I heard nothing but silence." Matthews stated. "Well apparently you never had sex before then, its supposed to be loud and rough." Sasuke countered his statement. Matthews facepalms and walks away slowly. "I am just going to forget what you said, and to focus on more important matters." He said. So the two remain quiet.
