Chapter 71: The Uchiha Ambush

June 8th, 3027
5:10pm

The Fellowship still remains in there cave, Grim and company are currently on there way to get to the fellowship, and then there is the Uchiha of the Dark Abyss who have planned out an ambush on the heroes. How will this all play out? Well lets see how it will go, starting with the Fellowship's rest area. Black, Alex and Matthews are currently guarding the entrance. Link, Matt, Arno, Zelda, Naruto and Gray are sitting down by the fire talking about life and making jokes. Cloud and Audrey are chatting with David and Serena. Necromancer is meditating by Gandalf and Legolas. Then there is Banshee, who is looking at her journal, trembling. "(Thinking: I need to come clean to them, I have to. But yet with Benedick already cleaned up shop, that must mean that the others are still by their posts. I could hand them the information of the spies and then they could reward me. Possibly may even spare me of a worse fate if I ever return to Master Frye.)" Banshee had thought to herself. She quickly opened her journal, jotted down a quick note then closed it. Then afterward, she stashed the journal into her bag. She stood up, but was stopped by the appearance of Naruto. "Shit! You ninja really are silent!" Banshee shouted. Naruto laughed, "Haha! Yeahs, sorry about that. I was just checking on you, since you have been a bit quiet." He said to her. "I just like to keep to myself is all, I am never used to being around a large group of people. Let alone being next to my old boss." Banshee had explained. "I can tell. But as some more advice for you in the later future; Being alone is a sign of restraint, your not allowing yourself to bring in the outside world. If you do that, then you should be on a better path then what your going now." Naruto stated, and Banshee looked down at the ground. "...Thank you, Naruto." She walked away and opened a portal, which closed after she went inside. Alex then walked over by Naruto, "Don't worry. (Naruto looks up at him) She will be back, the women always do." He joked, and Naruto laughed. "(Laughs slightly) Look, I am sorry for my behavior towards you from before. It's just, you were responsible for most of what has transpired here. I couldn't forgive a man like that, then I looked back at my own past about Sasuke. He was somewhat like you, and still is lost within his revenge against my village. (Extends his arm out to Alex) I apologize for that, if you will accept it that is." Naruto explained, and Alex shook Naruto's arm. "I accept your apology Naruto. Now that has been cleared of your mind, you should be able to focus more on the real threat." Alex stated to him. Naruto and Alex then parted ways.

5:20pm

Outside of the cave, the Uchiha investigate the cave outpost. "I have waited long enough Obito and Itachi, lets begin with the Genjutsu already." Madara said impatiently. "I agree with Madara, lets begin." Obito agreed along with Madara. Itachi stood up and then prepared a handsign. All three of the Uchiha enacted their Mangekyo Sharingan, and started powering up Chakra. "I guess you can say that this is a prequel to what our goal is." Itachi stated. "(Scoffs) The Infinite Tsukiyomi is nothing to compare of what we are doing right now. For the moon must be the lens, then scatter it all down below. For it will affect anyone. This type of Genjutsu is only directed at those fell heroes of the Gods." Madara had explained. "Indeed it is. Now continue to focus your Chakra. (Looks over at Itachi) I suggest that you send a couple of the Whispermen now to lure them out of that cave. The Orcs will then circle around so that we can trap them." Obito then stated. "That sounds like a perfect idea. (Looks to some of the grunts) Go Whispermen, chase those Heroes out of hiding!" Itachi commanded them. The Whispermen then responded with snarls as they all disappeared into the ground. "The bait has been laid, now to watch them all shriek in fear! Mwahahahahahaha!" Madara shouted in evil laughter.

5:26pm

Back at the cave, everyone was all sitting down eating their dinner. They were all still laughing and enjoying the time, until it happened. "(Eats food, then senses something) Huh?" Matt made a guessed noise, and Arno looked at him. "What's the matter bro?" Arno asked him, then he felt the strange feeling as well, "(Senses something, drops fork) Guys, I think something isn't right." He said to everyone, who stopped laughing. Alex and Black's eyes both widened. "We have company." Black said in a low voice. As he said that, Link and everyone began to draw their weapons slowly. Until they all began to hear whispers in their minds. "(Indistinct whispers) Whispers. Meaning the Dark Abyss have found us. Everyone, don't make a sudden move unless they attack first." Nec said to everyone, to keep them calm. Audrey hid behind David, he held her close to him. "Nec, I think we should just get the bloody hell outta here. Why wait when we can just run?" David said to him. Then Matthews took out his rapier, and got himself in a fighting stance. "Now David, its best to understand the motives of our enemies before we even make a move. Yes it is the Dark Abyss, but the patterns that they use are so out of order, you may never know the exact purpose of their plans." Matthews had explained to everyone. "I agree with our parallel friend, we wait til they show their intentions." Gandalf then said. Everyone gathered around each other to wait for any appearances. Which did eventually happen. Whispermen slowly rose from the ground one by one. "(In a whisper tone) Heroes must die... Heroes must die... Heroes... Must die..." They all said in unison. "Okay, that pretty much explains that they want to kill us right away. (Looks at Nec) Now can we run?" David said to him. Nec waved his staff at the Whispermen, which blasted them back towards the wall. He then turns towards his comrades. "Run!" He shouted at them. They all immediately took his words into mind and ran out of the cave as the Whispermen continued to show up. "(In a whisper like tone) After.. Them!" They said in unison.
