Shortly before Link, Alex, Nec, Arno, Trace, Ryuga and Clockwork went to the past, we look back at the Enam Esseri Oscuri. Darkus and his followers have stayed at a town for the evening, and they had already either captured or killed the people who were already living there. So they don't have any interruptions while they await for their next move. Darkus and his son, Zeref, are currently eating their breakfast in one of the mess halls. "(Sniffs food) Bleh! These damn dishes could give someone a disease! (Tosses the dish of food to the ground, then burns it with his magic) There we go, much better." Darkus said. Zeref just looked at his father after his actions, "How very nice of you Father. But I do have something that I want to ask of you." Zeref said. "What is it my son?" Darkus asked Zeref. Zeref looks out the window to see Vanitas meditating with a dark aura floating around him. "I don't trust him. After our skirmish before with those heroes, I would've expected him to kill them. (Looks at Darkus) But he didn't." Zeref explained. "You have a problem with Vanitas because he wasn't able to kill Link and his friends? I may have my doubts in those who don't get the job done, but he will... One day." Darkus replied to his son. "And I will go with your wish father. I shall check on the others, you have your thinking time." Zeref got up from his seat and walked out of the mess hall. Darkus then began to think to himself until he had gotten a sudden jolt in his spine. "(Grunts) The hell was that sensation?! (Feels a sense of familiar energy) It can't be.." Darkus stood up fast and snapped his fingers to teleport.

A few minutes later...

Darkus returns back to the mess hall only to be in anger and rage. "(Yells loudly) Damn you!!!" Scourge and the others came rushing into the mess hall to see Darkus tearing the room apart. "By the River Nile, what is wrong with you?" Sint asked Darkus, who stopped destroying everything. "Something was stolen from my most prized possessions. A very powerful something." Darkus stated to them. "What was it?" Mørket asked him. Darkus snapped his fingers, and a small smoke cloud appeared around his hand revealing a model. "This is only a model, not the real thing. But this is the Fierce Deity's Mask, it holds the powers of a God within it. I had lent it to Link about five years ago to defeat the Lords of Darkness. After he defeated them, I claimed it back and locked it away in a special vault that I own. It's been there for five years and now its stolen. (The model wooshes away) I must have it back." Darkus explained to his comrades. "I will say this right now before you even think of it, it wasn't me that stole it." Paradox said aloud. "I wasn't thinking it was you but thanks for the honesty. I do must say is that I must reclaim it back no matter the cost, and I believe I may know on who has it." Darkus said as he began walking towards a window. "Who would be able to have it? If you said that it's in a special vault, could you only take it?" Scourge asked him. Darkus gave off a slight smirk, "Hehehe, soon. I shall get my revenge with or without that mask I garuntee that. (Realizes something) Where is Timore?" Darkus then said aloud. Everyone began looking at each other, "We honestly don't know Darkus. I thought he was on your leash." Mørket said to him. "Well find him and tell him I need a word with him. (They are still there) Now!" Darkus demanded. His comrades then left the room to leave him be. A green smoke cloud then appeared, revealing Timore. "I heard you summon me Darkus, what is it that you want?" Timore asked him. Darkus turns around and gives the crimson knight a glare. "You see here Timore, I am the one in charge of this group. It's best to tell me or your comrades on where you were. Now tell me, where the hell were you?" Darkus asked in an annoyed tone. "Well I was at Minas Tirith, trying to get those heroes and angels to surrender to us. They declined, the one named Link attacked me but I countered by injecting my fear toxin into him. (Laughs) My it was fun watching him squirm from his own fears." Timore replied to Darkus, who was inspecting the man's eyes turn from a green color to a shade of dark yellow. "Who are you?" Darkus asked him in a small frightened tone. "I am who I am Darkus. As I introduced to you before. The great Fear Meister, Timore Belleren. (Goes into his pockets to grab out a ripped piece of paper, then hands it to Darkus.) Take a gander Darkus." He said to him. "(Looks at the page) What is this and why is it any relevant?" Darkus asked him. "It's from a very ancient tome that should've been forgotten to Time. (Darkus looks at the heading of the page, then looks up to Timore) May want to take a peek at the end. (Darkus looks back down at the page. His eyes widen and a tear rolls down his eyes, then looks back at Timore) Change this." Timore explained to him. Darkus looks at the date and reads it, "The Arkenstone. You mean the Heart of the Mountain?" Darkus says to Timore, as the man smirks and the page begins to burn in Darkus's hands. "Have fun." Timore disappears in a cloud of green smoke and Zeref comes walking into the room. "(Sees Darkus standing still) Father? What's wrong?" Zeref asks him. Darkus looks at his son, "Get Vanitas and Scourge. We have some business to do in the past." Darkus stated. Zeref nodded his head and left his father. Darkus now wants to go after the Arkenstone.
