*KIMBER'S POV*
I was more than happy when we left Cincinnati the next morning. I was hoping that I was wrong but ever since Jon had gone to see Greg, I had a bad feeling in my gut. Greg didn't give up easily. That's why I had ran when he was in jail.
I made my way down the hallway to catering when suddenly I was stopped by Renee. I looked around to see if we were doing a segment but it was just her. "Kimber, can I talk to you?" Renee asked.
I was apprehensive at first but agreed as I followed Renee down a deserted hallway. I thought it was all a joke and that I would be ambushed by Summer at any moment. "What do you want, Renee?" I asked as I leaned against the cool brick wall.
"I want to apologize for everything. I was upset that Dean left me for you but we were drifting apart long before you came in the picture and I realize that now. Plus, Dean really loves you. Can you forgive me?" Renee said.
I was in shock. This wasn't what I was expecting coming from Renee. "Is this a joke? Why are you all of a sudden ok with Jon and I?"
Renee sighed. "I realized last night that he loves you. The way he kept looking at you, I could see it in his eyes. And the way he kept searching for you after you left, Dean usually only cares about himself. Yes, this still hurts but I will move on and I don't want any hateful feelings between us. We work together and even if we aren't friends, I want a calm relationship between us."
I studied her. She truly looked like she was sorry. "ok. I can understand you being hurt and if it means anything, I yelled at Jon for breaking up with you," I replied after I thought about it.
Renee smiled and hugged me before we walked to catering together. It was a bit awkward and I still wasn't sure if this was all a joke to her or what. When we finally made it to catering, Renee stopped outside the door and turned to me. "Kimber, why do you call Dean, Jon?" she asked seriously.
"Even though everyone knows him by Dean now, I knew him as Jon. He will always be Jon to me. Calling him Dean is just weird for me," I replied.
Renee smiled again before giving me another hug. We entered catering together but when I seen Jon we went our separate ways. I walked over to where Jon was sitting giving me a weird look. I pulled out a chair across the table from him and sat down.
"Why were you talking to Renee? What did she do now?" Jon asked suspiciously.
I shrugged and waved my hand. "She wanted to apologize. She's sorry for how she behaved and we are cool now," I replied like it was nothing.
Jon eyed me suspiciously. "are you sure this isn't just a game for her?" he asked."Jon, she looked sincere plus she said that she could tell you love me," I said with a smirk as I watched Jon blush.
"Is it really that noticeable?" he asked barely above a whisper.
I smiled and nodded as his blush deepened. I ate my food and watched as Jon walked away for his match. I smiled as I thought of how incredible he was and how lucky I was to have him back. I was about to head back to the locker room when my phone buzzed on the table next to me. It was a number I didn't recognize so I ignored the call but they called again. I ignored it again thinking it was just coincidence they had called again.
I walked down the hallway to the locker room when my phone rang again. It was the same number. I answered it, "Hello?"
There was silence. "Hello?" I said again.
I heard a click as I realized whoever it was had hung up. It was an odd call and after what had happened with Greg the night before, I began to panic. I looked around the hall and realized I was the only one in the hallway. I began to get a feeling that I was being watched.
