We stopped at the end of the night to get some sleep.
It was a beautiful night. It wasn't cold out and was the perfect temperature out. It was a cloudless sky full of stars.
We pulled off the rode a little ways and began to set up camp.
Thorin was shouting orders and I tried my best to help everyone.
Kili kept looking over at me from where I was and smirking. I tried to ignore him and look away. But I couldn't even keep my eyes off of him.
We sat around the fire and told some funny stories. The dwarves pulled over to logs to sit on but I just leaned against Saphira who was laying down.
I didn't know what to do so I looked around in my bag.
Perfect! I found my sketchbook and my pencils.
I thought of what to draw. I think I'll draw a dragon.
The dwarves carried on as I sketched my dragon.
'You're very good at drawing!' Saphira told me.
'I'm not that good.' I said sheepishly.
'You're one of the best I've ever seen!'.
I turned to look at her, 'I'm probably the only one you've seen.'
She huffed and I turned back to my drawing.
"Watch ya drawing lass?" Balin asked me.
"Oh it's nothing." I say blushing.
Saphira quickly got up and I fell on my back. She took the drawing pad out of my hands. She didn't give it to Balin. She gave it to Kili.
I just sat there and blushed. I looked down at my legs.
"Serena! This is amazing!" He said and then he started to pass it around the camp fire.
"Wow!" Ori said when it came to him.
When Thorin got it he was the last one. He looked at it and became surprised.
He actually stood up and walked over to me. He handed it to me and said that I was a great drawer. I believe that Thorin is starting to warm up to me.
I sat back down and finished my drawing.
I needed to get away so I decided to take a walk.
"I'm going to take a walk." I told them getting to my feet.
"Ok." some dwarves murmured.
I walked out of the fire light and into the woods.
In a little while I came to a clearing. I was so amazed by the stars that was all I was focused on.
I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist. I gasped and put my hands on their hands.
I relaxed when the person started to chuckle.
"You scared the crap out of me Kili!" I said.
"That was the whole point!" He said into my hair.
I looked back up at the night sky and sighed.
"What's bothering you?" He said a little worried.
"Oh nothing. This just reminds me about that night in Rivendell." I said.
"That was a beautiful night. But not because of the scenery, but because of you. You looked so gorgeous in that dress." He said turning me around in his arms.
I laughed, "Ya, sure I did!"
"It's the truth," he said pulling me closer, "I'm going to have to make you ware them more often then!" He added with a smirk.
"That was my first and final dress that I've worn!"
"We'll see about that!" He said pulling me even closer so that nothing could go in between us.
I couldn't stand the closeness and kissed him. it was slow but full of passion.
When we pulled back I smirked.
"If you want me in a dress then you're going to have to catch me first!" I said as I broke off into a run.
I looked behind me to see he was right behind me. I smiled and turned around. I was about to make it to the other end of the forest when a strong pair of arms grabbed me.
"Let me go!" I giggled trying to pry his hands off of me.
"No!" He said laughing.
He was walking backwards until he tripped and fell.
I turned in the air and fell on top of him laughing.
"We need to stop ending up like this!" I said to him.
"I rather like it though," he replied.
I looked into his hazel eyes and saw nothing but love.
"You're such a lover boy!" I said before crashing my lips to his.
When we pulled away for air he started to protest.
I kissed him again and this time deeper. He melted into my kiss and cupped one hand on my face.
I pulled away and got off of him. I was blushing because of how hard I did it.
"I'm sorry," I said quietly before walking off.
"Serena! Wait!" Kili kept trying to stop me. I kept walking through the woods until he came running up to me.
"Serena stop!" He said stepping in front of me.
I looked down at my feet and waited for what he was going to say.
"Serena, I love you and don't want you to think that way. Whatever you do I will always love you. Through death and pain."
I looked at him not believing what he said. When I looked up he kissed me sweetly. We backed up until we hit a tree and I groaned. Kili had one hand on the tree and the other on my hip. I just slung my arms around his neck.
He pulled away and I leaned against the tree.
"Come on lover boy, lets get back to camp."
Kili didn't protest against his nickname, so I think he likes it. Even if he doesn't like he's still going to be my lover boy.
When we got back to camp the company was already asleep except for Fili who was on watch.
When we both walked out of the tree line Kili tried to take his hand out of mine. I wouldn't let him and he looked down at me. I gave him a nod.
Fili noticed us and began to tease us.
"There's the 2 love birds." he said in a baby voice.
When we walked past him I pushed his head so he fell off the log.
"Got yourself a feisty one there! Don't ya' Kili?" He said to Kili.
We laid down together and I fell asleep in Kili's arms.
I felt protected by a person who loves me for who I am, not something I'm not.
