~Serena's POV~

We stayed up on the flat rock for a while and then it dawned on me.

"Gandalf!" I shout.

"What is the matter!" Gandalf said looking around for danger.

He stopped and looked at me.

"You know where we are, don't you?" I asked him.

"Yes Serena, I do." he said quietly.

I ran over to the edge of the cliff and looked out to the open.

I saw where my village had been and where Rivendell is.

"Why?" I turned around with tears in my eyes.

"Serena, it was the Eagles that brought us here not me." Gandalf said quietly.

I looked down at the ground. This was where my father and mother got married.

"I am sorry Serena." he said.

"About what?" One of the dwarves asked.

"This is where my mother and father got married." I said with no emotion.

Then I ran down the stairs that were made into the rock. While I was running tears were blurring my eyes.

When I got to the bottom I heard someone shout my name. I ignored them and kept running into the woods.

They were gaining on me and I tried to run faster. I tripped on a root and fell to the ground.

"Serena?" The person asked.

"What do you want?" I spat.

I turned around and saw Kili standing there looking worried.

"I want to help you." he said helping me up.

I wiped away the tears and hugged him.

I sobbed into his shoulder for a while. He just had us sit on the moss and he rocked me back and forth.

"Thank you." I said in a whisper.

He took my face in his hands and wiped the tears away.

"Anything for you Serena." he said looking into my eyes.

We started to lean into each other and our lips met.

It slow and full of passion. Time seemed to slow and there was just me and him. We pulled back and he helped me off the ground.

He put his arm around my waist and we walked back to the stairs.

The last of the company got down from the stairs.

"We might want to set up camp near a river so we can bathe." one dwarf said.

"That will be nice." Thorin said.

We searched around and found a small lake in the woods and set up camp on the shore.

The dwarves started to get undressed and then they noticed me. I quickly shielded my eyes and ran off. Some of the dwarves were snickering but I just thought it was embarrassing.

I ran around a curve in the lake so that nobody could see me. I stripped my clothes off and put them on a rock.

I got into the refreshing water and began to scrub myself clean.

"Serena?" Someone said I quickly hid behind a rock and poked my head over it.

"Don't you know I'm taking a bath!" I screeched at them.

It was Kili.

"I'm sorry I just wanted to know that you are ok." he said embarrassed.

"Aren't you sweet." I said in a baby voice.

He turned around and walked back to the camp.

I finished up and got dressed. just as I got my bow I heard a twig crack in the woods.

I whipped around with my bow loaded and saw Saphira.

'You know you could have used the mind link,' I said using the mind link.

I lowered my bow and she trotted over.

'I'm sorry. I wanted it to be a surprise.' she said as I stroked her mane.

I laughed and said, 'Ya, sure! I surprise that could have gotten you killed!'

She laughed to and we both heard the sound of the dwarves.

'I think it's time for you to meet the dwarves.' I say.

I heard her sigh and she muttered something about hating the dwarves.

'I know, I know. You hate them, but they kind of grow on you after a while.' I say.

'Like that one tall brown haired one!' She said in a mocking voice.

I stared at her with wide eyes. She laughed and laughed.

I blushed and said, 'Do you want to meet them or not?'

'I'll try my best.' she said and I swear she was smirking.

'Stop!' I said in a playful tone.

'Fine!' She said still smiling.
