I started to work on the knot on Kili's bag that he was tied up in. He stared at me in amazement.

"It's rude to stare you know?," I said to him.

"I-I'm sorry. It's just... Wow."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well I've seen many women warriors. But I have never seen something done like that. I think your the best one I've ever seen."

"Oh, Thanks," I replied. I started to blush and focused harder on the knot I was working on.

Once I untied his sack we went our separate ways to free more Dwarves.

Dwalin was on the ground wiggling around attempting to get out of the sack.

"Do you need any help?" I asked him politely.

"No! I do not need help from a trader!" He spat at me.

I put my hands on my hips and watched him struggle some more.

"Can you please help me?" He murmured.

"What? I couldn't hear you." I say as I cupped my hand around my ear and leaned in.

"I need help! Ok!" He yelled at me.

I smirked in satisfactory and squatted down to untie his sack.

When I was done I got back with ease and wiped my hands together.

"Thank you," he said still angry that he had to ask for help.

"You are very welcome Dwalin!" I said cheerfully.

He grunted and walked off once he was out of his bag.

I walked over to Gandalf and stood by him.

"I smell a troll hoard not to far away from here." I said as everyone gathered around.

"Lead away," Gandalf says.

I followed the stench to the hoard.

I didn't go inside because the smell was to much for my sensitive nose. I climbed a few rocks so I had a had a good view of the place. I sat down on a flat rock. I took my bow and laid it across my lap.

I started to trace the swirl pattern with my thumb. I heard someone climbing and pulled an arrow from my quiver. I loaded my bow and aimed it at the place where the person was going to come up at.

I was just about to shoot when I realized it was just Kili. I lowered my bow when he put his hands up in surrender.

"Kili, I swear I'm going to kill you some day if you keep sneaking up on me like that!"

"I'm sorry Serena." He said. He walked over and sat down beside me.

I laid me bow across my lap again putting the arrow in its quiver.

"Those weapons, where did you get them from?" He asked.

I tensed up and said, "My parents gave them to me," I looked forward and let one lonely tear escape.

"Serena I'm sorry I didn't know that this subject was so touchy to you." He scooted in to me and put an arm around me.

I gladly leaned on his shoulder as he rubbed my back soothingly.

"Thank you," I say after a few minutes. I pull away as everyone started to come out from the cave.

"For what?"

I look him in the eye and say, "For always being there for me."

Something was rustling the bushes behind us. I got to my feet and looked over to where I heard the sound.

It was my spirt animal.

I slung my backpack from around my shoulder and opened it. I found three apples in the bottom of my bag. I took them and underhandedly threw them for her.

She ate them quickly and disappeared into the forest.

I heard another sound. This one wasn't my spirt animal it was something else.

Orcs? No, these sound light on their feet and small. Pulling something?

I jumped down from all the rocks at once and landed on one knee.

Kili on the other hand didn't like the long distance so he jumped on multiple rocks to get down.

I looked at him and laughed. He rolled his eyes and I ran to warn the company.

"There's something coming!" I shouted.

I pointed my loaded bow in the direction of the sound.

Something out of the trees screaming something about blood and murder.

I put down my bow once I realized who it was.

Radagast.

He had brown clothes on with a brown hat. He still had the bird poop on the side of his head from the last time I saw him. He was ridding a sled pulled by a team of rabbits.

I know Radagast from when I bumped into him one day tracking a group of orcs. I visited him a few times after that because we became good friends. I guess since I'm a skin-changer and he's an animal lover we get along good.

I ran over and engulfed him in a hug.

"Serena?" He asked.

"Radagast!" I say excitingly.

"It's so nice to see you again!" He said.

"Indeed it has, my friend!" I replied.

His smile faded and turned serious.

"I must speak with Gandalf." He said.

I pointed to Gandalf who was waiting patiently to meet his friend behind me.

I let them talk and walked over to the group.

"That man, stay away from him! He's weird." Kili said to me.

I punched him in the arm for calling my friend weird.

"Owwww!" Kili said.

"You will learn to treat my friends with respect!" I say firmly.

He stopped rubbing his arm and looked at me apologetically.

"It's fine, just don't do it again." I say with a smile at the end.

He smiled back and we stared into each other's eyes for a while. Then Fili notices and gets his brother in a headlock. I laugh as Kili struggles to get out of the hold.

I heard something above us move and drew an arrow to my bow. Just as I hold it up a warg almost jumps on Fili and Kili. I shoot it down and heard another one coming in from behind me.

I swivel around and shoot that one down before it pounced on Dwalin.

"Scouts!" Thorin yells.

"Orcs?" Poor Bilbo asked.

"Yes, and there is going to be more of them if we don't move." Kili said.

Gandalf started to ask Thorin questions and got into a fight.

"I'll draw them off!" Radagast announces and I look at him.

"These are Gundabad Wargs, they will out run you!" Gandalf warns.

"These are Rhosgobel Rabbits, I'd like to see them try!" He said with a sly smile and I smiled back knowing what he'll do.
