When I got to the edge of the woods I changed back into my horse form. My clothes and weapons magically appear on me.

I put my hood up and walked out on the streets.

I saw a couple walk past me and the man whispered, "Look it's the Lone Rider!"

I rolled my eyes under my hood and kept walking. I saw a sign that said Bagend and was pointing left at a fork in the path.

I continued to walk and looked up at the night sky.

'I'm going to be late.' I said to myself.

I started to look at the doors of the hobbit's holes and one particular caught my eye.

It was a green door and had the blue glowing Dwarven rune on it.

I sighed and straightened my hood up, so no one could see my face. I heard voices inside and as soon as I knocked on the door they became silent.

Someone opened the door and I saw it was a hobbit. A frustrated one.

"Hello," he said. Then he saw my cloak and started ranting.

"Oh my word, your the Lone Rider! You deserve more than a 'Hello'! My apologies Mr Lone Rider!"

He bowed to me and I bowed to him.

He stepped away from the door to let me in and I walked in.

Then Dwarves started to appear and gathered to stare at me.

"May I take your cloak," the hobbit asked politely.

I shook my head in response not wanting to reveal my identity.

Gandalf appeared and saved me from the Dwarve's gawking stares.

"Well don't just stand there introduce yourselves to Lone Rider!" Gandalf said breaking the ice.

So they went down the line introducing themselves: "Nori, Ori, Dori, Bofur, Bombur, Bifur, Gloin, Oin, Balin, Dawalin, Fili, and Kili"

Then came the hobbits: "Bilbo Baggins."

Then the leader of the company: "Thorin Oakenshield."

After everyone introduced themselves I bowed and thought of the Dwarf Kili. He was pretty good looking. What! I can't fall for a Dwarf!

I sat in the room in a corner listening to them talk about the quest.

Gandalf produced a key and said that they were going to take a hidden passage way into the mountain.

Then they all started to argue weather Bilbo is a burglar.

'Oh boy Gandalf is getting mad,' I thought.

Sure enough the room got darker and Gandalf said, "If I say he is a burglar, then a burglar he is!" He was rising out of his seat.

I walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. He looked at me and began to sit back down.

They gave Bilbo a contract and Bofur started talking to him about the dragon. I could tell Bilbo wasn't feeling well talking about a dragon killing him so I walked over.

Just as I reached him he passed out. I reached out and caught him. I picked him up and placed him on the armchair in the living room.

"Thank you, Rider," Gandalf said.

I nodded and headed to find some food because I was hungry. I went to look in the food cell and found nothing.

"There's soup on the stove," a voice said behind me.

I turned to see Kili looking at me and leaning on the wall.

'Gosh he's hot!' I thought.

'Shut up!' I said to myself.

I nodded and headed to the kitchen and got some soup. I went into the dinning room and found Dwalin, Balin, and Fili sitting there.

I sat at the opposite side of the table and began eating.

Balin gets up and walks over to me placing a quill and paper in front of me.

"We need you to sign this, please." He said politely.

I didn't even look at, I just signed it. I singed it as Lone Rider and not Serena.

"Thank you," he said.

I nodded in response and went back to eating my soup.

A few minutes latter Kili walks in and sits next to Fili. Which I learned to be his brother. I also learned that they were Thorin's nephews.

I took in every detail about him: his hazel eyes, his shoulder length brown hair, and his smile that lit up everything inside me.

'Stop it Serena! He's a prince and he wouldn't like a girl like you!' I scolded to myself.

Once I was done, I took the bowl into the kitchen and washed it for Bilbo.

Word came that Bilbo wasn't coming and I was sad because I liked the hobbit.

I sighed and put my bowl away. I went into the living room because all the Dwarves were gathering there.

I leaned against the wall and listened to them sing a song about there home land. I hummed along because my mom taught my the song.

When they were done Thorin said to get sleep.

I put all of my weapons and my backpack with my sketchbook, pencils, hairbrush, clothes, and the locket of my mother and father on a small table in the corner.

As I walked outside a person behind me said, "We'll be leaving at first light tomorrow," I turned around to see it was Thorin. I nodded and walked away.

When I was outside I found the perfect tree to sleep in, so I climbed it. I found a comfy branch and sat with my back against the tree. I wrapped my cloak around my because of the slight breeze.

When I looked at my cloak I remembered my promise.

"I will avenge you, mother and father."

And with that I drifted off to sleep.
