~Serena's POV~

We set off in morning.

As I was walking I couldn't find my spirt animal. I kept my eyes peeled for a hint of black and white, but couldn't find a thing.

All of the Dwarves hate me for lying to them. Well I definitely know that Thorin, Dwalin, and Gloin do. I didn't know about the others.

I was near the back of the group and someone halted while everyone kept moving. When I got to them they nudged their pony with their boots. I looked up to see Kili staring down at me with a smile. I blushed and looked ahead of me.

He got off of his pony and walked beside me.

"You know, you don't have to wear that hood up anymore." He said.

"I know," I replied.

"To me you look beautiful without it on." he said in a whisper.

I looked at him surprised and then blushed again looking at my feet. He laughed and shook his head.

I felt as though I was being watched. As if someone was staring at me from behind.

I turned to see the Appaloosa a little ways down the road following us. I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around fully.

"Why are you-," Kili suddenly stopped when he saw the horse.

I turned around and kept walking, as did Kili.

I looked him in the eye and said, "Don't try to tame her again, ok?"

"I promise I won't," he said with scared words.

"Good," I said and kept walking.

We traveled for another three hours before we stopped.

Gandalf was looking at a burnt down house, so I ran over.

"A farmer and his family used to live here," he said.

"It wasn't burnt down to long ago either," I said noticing a little smoke rising from the wood.

"I think It would be wise to move on!" He announced to the group.

"We could seek help from the elves!" He added.

"I will not seek help from elves!" Thorin spat.

They got into an argument and Gandalf went off.

I looked around, but couldn't find the horse.

Bombur got a fire started.

"Would you like me to go hunt?" I asked him.

"That would be nice, thank you."

"I'll be back!" I said running into the forest.

I got a little ways in before I heard twigs snapping. They were to big to be a small creature.

Orcs.

I climbed a tree and drew my bow. I waited as the person got closer and closer.

What I saw surprised me. It was Kili and he looked like he was tracking me.

"Can't I have a little alone time?" I questioned him. He jumped and drew his bow and aimed it at me.

I chuckled and jumped down from the tree.

"Well I wanted to help you," he said smiling.

"Fine, but only this one time."

"Ok," he agreed.

We were walking silently through the forest. All the sudden Kili pulls me by my waist. he put his back to the tree and his hands on my hips.

"Listen, I don't know what you think your doing-," I said.

"Shhh," he said urgently and jutted his thumb behind him and I slowly peered my head around the tree.

Standing there was a beautiful 4-point buck grazing.

I pulled an arrow out of my quiver and pulled my bow back. When I released it, it shot straight and true. Finding its target at its stomach.

Kili applauded to me and I just blushed. I walked over a muttered a silent prayer in thanks and that the deer would go to a better place.

I took out my arrow and stood.

"I'll carry it back," Kili volunteered.

"Ok," I said.

As we left the clearing I said, "Look, I'm sorry about accusing you of trying to do something romantic with me."

"It's my fault. I shouldn't have grabbed you like that."

When we reached the camp nobody was there. Kili put the deer down.

"Come," I said because I heard sounds of battle to the right.

We ran until we came to another camp. A troll camp.

Kili ran to help his comrades, but I stayed behind incase they got caught.

Of course they all got caught! why wouldn't they!

The three trolls had Bilbo and were threatening to kill him. So the Dwarves surrendered and were stuffed into bags.

That's it! Nobody hurts my friends!

I ran into the clearing with my sword drawn and charged.

I slashed at their legs and feet gracefully. But it was a different kind of gracefulness than the elves.

One of the trolls grunted and said,"Come here you!"

When he bent down to pick me up I took the chance of stabbing his eyeball. he screamed and backed away falling on his butt.

One down, two more to go.

The next one reached down to scope me up, but I jumped on his hand. He raised his hand above his head and was ready to fling me to the ground.

I jumped of his hand and did a perfect front flip. slicing the trolls back as I did so. I landed perfectly on one knee.

I was blind to the fact that the other troll was going to grab me.

He swiped and picked me up with his giant hand.

"Your a pretty one, aren't you?" He said. I spat at him.

"I might as well eat you now!" He said angularly rising me above his mouth making me drop my sword.

"Not that one! She's infested!" A voice says. The troll flings me to the Dwarves and I land on one with a thud. I looked up from where I was lying. I was lying on top of Kili. He was smirking which made me blush and get off of him.

I look over to see where the voice came from and it was Bilbo's.

"In fact, they're all infected!" He yells.

The Dwarves yelled insults at Bilbo and saying that they weren't infected.

I knew that Bilbo was playing for time, so I played along.

"I got parasites as big as my arm!" I screamed. I looked at the Dwarves and gave them a come-on-and-help-me look. They gave an are-you-crazy-look.

Recognition dawned on there faces. They started to argue who had the biggest parasites. I smirked thinking our plan was working.

"He's mistaking us as fools! Don't play us as dumb for I now you're playing for time! Ferret!"

"Ferret!" Bilbo squeaked, highly
offended.

"The dawn will take you all!" Gandalf yelled. He broke open a rock and sunlight flooded into the camp sight.

And the trolls froze. To be there forever and ever.
