It's already late when the reception was finished, and all visitors have already gone home. Park mansion is now empty save for the newlyweds. Sehun and Yixing, together with their four housemates Taeyong, Jaehyun, Yuta and Ten purposely left the house to let the married couple enjoy their first night together.

Right now, Chanyeol and Baekhyun are in the bedroom, quietly sitting on the bed. No one dares to talk, and the silence is too deafening the ticking of the clock is the noise that can only be heard inside the room. Chanyeol's heart is otherwise though, because it's beating so wild. It seems like all the courage he had mustered earlier dissipated all of a sudden. He blames the food for that.

What will he going to do next? His mind has just blocked. What if they could just chat? Watch TV? Sleep beside next to each other doing nothing at all?

On the other hand, Baekhyun waits, sensing his husband by his side. His hands are getting clammy, feeling a pang of nervousness creeping inside of him. He has his head ducked down low, waiting for a miracle or something. Why isn't Chanyeol speaking yet? Why isn't he moving? Should he be the one to make the first move now or just wait for his husband to do it?

Chanyeol suddenly stands up, and Baekhyun's head shoots up, feeling his heart race.

"Baekhyun."

"W-WHAT!!?" Baekhyun says.

"Uhm, i-is it okay if I... turn down the thermostat?" Chanyeol asks, scratching his nape.

"Oh. S-sure," Baekhyun answers as he looks down again on his lap. "Go ahead."

Walking over to get the remote, Chanyeol lowers down the temperature. He sits beside his better half afterwards.

Silence.

Awkward.

Chanyeol doesn't exactly know how long they've been staring at nothingness, they're still wearing their wedding tuxedos, and truth to be told, it's really itchy and hot against the skin. So, Chanyeol decides he'll just take it off. He stands up, unbuttoning it when Baekhyun looks up to him.

"W-what are you doing!?" Baekhyun asks, caught off guard. He gets a pillow and hugs it.

"Uhm. Taking off my shirt? I-it's too hot... So if it's okay.. Can I..."

"Oh, okay. Yeah, sure. T-take that off.."

"How about you? Aren't you feeling... uncomfortable with that?"

"Oh, this, well. Okay, I'll just... Take it off as well.."

Both males silently undress themselves, until Chanyeol is half naked while Baekhyun is on his boxers.

"Uhm, would you like to... shower first?" Chanyeol asks, pointing at the bathroom. "I'll shower after you finished."

Baekhyun nods and walks towards the bathroom with his head lowered, grabbing a towel before he quickly shuts the door close. Chanyeol releases the breath he's been holding long and kneels on the floor, clutching his chest.
