(March 2012) 6 months later...
**Samantha's POV**
"Tabitha, I cannot believe you got engaged!" I practically squeeled while checking out the rock on her left ring finger.
"I know," she replied. "I thought for sure you would be the first person out of us two to get married!"
"Well, I mean you are a little bit older than me. I'm just turned 22 a couple of months ago and JJ and I are only, sorta recently back together again. You've been dating Graham for like 2 years now."
The ring he had gotten her was outrageous, gorgeous, but outrageous.
We were walking in the streets of New York City after our pilates class together- I looked up and around me, taking in the landscape and beauty of this city. I was going to miss it when I left in August.
"Okay, so when is the date of your wedding?" I asked Tabby.
She looked over at me and lip her lower lip, looking like a guilty little child. "June 12th."
I looked over at her, "Of this year?!"
She just nodded her head and giggled. "I know, it's crazy- but we just can't wait to get married. So obviously, I need you to be my bridesmaid and we need to have a crazy bachelorette party.
"How about just a nice brunch instead? Something mellow, just us and a couple of our friends from Broadway?" I asked, I knew Tabby- she'd get my in big trouble if we went out in the city for her party. The night would consist of heavy drinking and male stripe clubs.
"Yeah, and why don't we just go spend the weekend at your grandfather's estate in boring Connecticut while you're at it? You're so boring Samantha! But, I guess since you're the maid of honor, it's your decision after all." She linked her arm with mine and put her head on my shoulder. Not being near my best friend was going to be hard too, but I was glad she was going to marry the love of her life. I knew she was in good hands.

"So, crazy Tabitha is getting married huh?" JJ said on the other line.
"Yeah- it's amazing that she found a man to tame her!" I said while laughing and laying back on my bed.
JJ was in Wisconsin now, training with Brad to get ready for the next season. His first season went pretty well. He worked hard and had a couple of game changing plays and I couldn't be more proud of him. I have seen him a couple of times since the season ended a little over two months ago- but he's mostly been in Wisconsin and hasn't come to see me in New York yet.
"So does this mean you'll be my plus one at Tabby's wedding?" I asked with a little smile on my face. He was quiet for a second, and that made me sit up and wiped the smile off my face. "Justin?"
"I don't know, I'll have to see if I can get time off from training."
To say I was hurt was an understatement. I made so many sacrifices for JJ and he couldn't take one weekend off from training on his off season to come see me?
"Okay, whatever- I'll uh talk to you later then."
"No wait-" I cut him off by hanging up my cellphone and laying back on my pillow.
