January 2015...

**Samantha's POV**

It's been a little over 2 years since JJ and I have been together here in Houston and it has most definitely been a whirlwind. JJ's career has launched into such a successful one and I knew that nothing but good things were going to happen for him and all of his hard work over the years. We just got through celebrating Christmas with his family down here in Texas, then we would be heading to Arizona for the Pro Bowl and then finally heading back to Wisconsin for the off season and I couldn't wait to spend more time with him. I kind of leave him to himself when the season is here and we have our arguments after most of his loses, but I understood. His job and schedule were demanding- but we were still together after all.

As I was pushing my full cart I reached into my pocket to reach for my car keys when I heard my cellphone ringing. I grabbed it out of my purse and saw my best friend Tabitha's name and picture on the screen. It's been a while since I've talked to her, but she's been busy being a married woman- and I couldn't help but be envious of her at times.

"Hey Tabitha! Long time no talk girlie!" I said to her with a smile on my face.

"Hi, so I have some exciting news for you my darling!" she said on the other line.

"Okay..." I say cautiously.

"Question, do you prefer to be called Aunt Samantha or just go by Auntie?" she asked.

I shrieked before she could even finish that sentence.

"Shut up Tabitha Louise..You're pregnant?!" I said to her and could hear the smile in her laugh on the other line.

"Yes! I'm 3 months along!" she said.

I couldn't believe it, I couldn't get in my car so I stood leaning against the trunk for about an hour talking to her about any and everything that had to do with her pregnancy and discussing names. I was so happy for her, this was so exciting but I couldn't help but feel as though I should be sharing some great and exciting news with her about my relationship and I couldn't help but feel stuck in my relationship with JJ. Of course we were in love with each other- but was it possible to get married and have a baby with his busy schedule with football. Well, obviously it was possible. We practiced baby making nearly every night but I know he would be pissed if I got pregnant now.

When I got back home, I couldn't help but feel spiteful for some reason. I was resentful at the moment of JJ's career and how I had given up my career to be a housewife down here in Texas. I had my own branch off of his charity for after school arts and I would go around to schools visiting and seeing how I could help with the funding of their arts programs or speaking to them about the importance of them, but it wasn't keeping me all that busy.

I was cooking fajitas in the kitchen when JJ came home from working out at the stadium. I was chopping up some peppers when he walked up behind me, placed his hands on my hips and began kissing my neck. I was too frustrated to give in to his temptations today, but it was a challenge- I'll give him that much.

"Mmm, what are you cooking babe? It smells amazing." He whispered in my ear.

"Fajitas." short and not so sweet response to him. He could tell I was angry because he pulled back and spun me around to look up at him.
