March 2015...

**Samantha's POV**

JJ and I have been back in Wisconsin for a little over 2 weeks now. Between his appearances on some tv shows and the pro bowl, it took us a while to eventually get home. He also had to go on his annual vacation with her friends from high school which I love that he still does. I have been coming up to Wisconsin a couple of times a month ever since JJ bought the new cabin here to finalize some of the details and get it ready for us to live in once we got here. Even though I knew JJ would be busy this off season with training and other things, but I always love spending this time with him. 

It was still pretty cold her in Wisconsin with the once large snow piles dwindling down to small mounds. I was unpacking some new kitchen utensils when I heard JJ and his two brothers come barreling through the front door. I turned around to see them all in their workout clothes, already elbows deep in the fridge, eating just about everything in sight. 

"Hey boys." I said without even looking over in their direction and putting my attention back towards putting some of the dishes away. Before I knew it, I could feel JJ wrap his arms around me and hug me close to his sweaty, big body while kissing my neck. I didn't even mind his sweaty body on mine- it was just nice to feel him on me and against me. 

"Hello sexy." he said in my ear while rocking me back and forth slowly. I just smiled and tried not to get distracted by his flirty words. "Wanna go on a date tonight?" he asked me. 

I turned around to face him and give him a hug. "I'd love to go on a date with you my love." I responded and chased with a kiss on the lips. 

"Good. I'll pick you at 6." he said while smacking my ass and walking away. 

"Wait, pick me up?" I called after him, feeling confused. 

He just waved me off and yelled back, "You'll see...I'll see you then hot stuff."

It was 5:45 and I looked at myself in my full length mirror- I had pestered JJ all afternoon over text messages about what I should wear out. Whether it was going to be a casual or fancy date, I had no idea and he wasn't giving me any hints. 

"Dress nice, but like, blue jean nice." was all he said to me about the date. 

So I settled on some of my high waisted dark blue jeans with a teal and gray colored knitted sweater with knee high gray boots paired with my cream colored pea coat with my blonde hair in soft waves around my face. I heard the doorbell ring and I couldn't help but laugh to myself at him acting this way- like we were teenagers all over again. 

I reached the bottom of the stairs and could see his big figure standing on the other side of the door in the windows. I opened the door and stood back to admire his handsome self. He stood there holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers with dark jeans and a blue sweater to bring out his beautiful blue eyes. I couldn't help but melt at how handsome he was and how lucky I felt to be his girl. 

He held out the flowers to me before I motioned to him to come in the house. "For you." he said while I reached out and took them from him. He followed me into the kitchen and watched me closely as I put the flowers in some water. Since JJ and I have known each other for so long in our lives, I couldn't help but feel the nervous energy his body was admitting out onto me. I didn't pester him on it since I didn't want to make him any more nervous- but I also couldn't help but smile to myself.
