May 29 2016...

**Samantha's POV**

4 am- this would officially be the fourth time tonight I am getting up to soothe my crying newborn in the bassinet next to my bed. "Please Emmi, just 5 more minutes." I mumbled into my pillow. I don't know if my boobs could take the torment anymore tonight. 

But before I could get up and perform my motherly duties, I rolled over to find my fiancé holding onto and rocking our baby girl in his big hands while holding her against his chest. I smiled, pulled my blanket up to my chin admiring my view for a couple minutes longer before getting up and holding out my arms to JJ to pass me our beautiful crying machine. J

JJ looked down at Emmi one last time, then looked up at me. "I'm sorry honey- I can't give her what she wants, but I thought I would soothe her for a little bit. Give you those 5 extra minutes." he said with a wink.

I gave him a little smirk while I traded places with him to sit in the comfy rocking chair. "I'm sorry you had to wake up early on your day off." I said. 

"What are you apologizing for? It's our child- she is half mine. So, if she wakes up then her daddy wakes up. I don't want to hear my Emmi Bear cry." he said while sliding his finger over her tiny cheek to wipe a stray tear away. "And I don't want my other girl to be up all night. I mean, I know you're the only one with the goods- but you're tired too."

He was sweet, I couldn't ask for anyone better. "The trick? Take naps when she takes nap- no matter how long or how short they are." I laid my head back on the chair and closed my eyes and JJ took that as a sign that the two of us were all taken care of.

It was noon on Sunday, so I dressed Emmi in an adorable little pale pink dress with a ruffle  cover up for her diaper. I carefully put a white and pink headband, brushing her tiny blonde hairs to the side. Of course, her big blue eyes were closed and she was taking a nap at the same time I was trying to get her dressed and ready to head over to JJ's family's house. I collapsed onto the bed after I buckled Emmi into her carseat carrier and closed my eyes. 

"My two beautiful girls ready to go eat some delicious Sunday dinner?" JJ said booming into the bedroom. "Whoops, sorry babe." he said while picking up our sleeping baby. 

I stood up and walked like a zombie to the car and closed my eyes on the short ride over to the Watt's house. Before we could even put the car in park, Connie was already making her way out of the house and opening the back door to greet her granddaughter. 

"My little Emmi, welcome to Mimi's house!" she said while picking her up and sweeping her into the house. JJ came around to my side of the car and took me by the hand and kissed me on the top of my head. 

When we walked into the house, Connie already had the baby out of the carrier and she was surrounded by everyone. I could see her smiling and giggling at her Uncles as they were making funny faces at her behind Connie's back. Derek's girlfriend Gabriella was there too, holding on to her tiny hand. I was so grateful to have everyone single one of them here to spoil Emaline- she was already so loved. 

I was sitting in the living room after dinner, now feeding Emmie her dinner when Connie came in and sat down next to me. "So, are you ready for the wedding in one month?" she asked.
