Chapter 11: Iressistable

I'm currently sitting at the lunch table with everyone waiting to invite them to Beats Restaurant for my performance tonight that way I don't have to hide it any longer.

As a conversation about old kid shows ends I find my opportunity.

"Hey everyone. I was wondering if you guys want to go to this restaurant tonight." I say getting their attention.

"Sure what's the name of the place?" Ash asks me between bites of his sandwich.

"It's called Beat's and its uptown." I say with a shrug and wait on everyone's response.

"I'm in." everyone choruses at once.

I smirk at them as they all just laugh and smile.

"Wait guys I need a place to crash tonight. My parents are not going to be home until tomorrow and I don't like being alone." April says with a sheepish smile at the rest of the group.

"Sorry girl. My parents are home tonight and you know how that goes." Clarity says with a roll of her eyes.

April looks crestfallen and I can't help but want to help the beautiful red head.

"You can stay with me, Red." I say nonchalantly.

"Really?" she asks and her beautiful blue orbs instantly light up.

"Really." I say with a nod and a small smile at my crazy best friend.

"Yay I get to see Rose again." she cheers.

"That's no fair. I want to see Rose." Kate complains.

"Me too." Ash.

"Me three." Clarity.

I groan running a hand through my hair and looking between all the weirdos.

"Fine you can all come to my house before we go to the restaurant so that y'all can hang out with Rose for a little while." I offer and they cheer in response.

I have the weirdest friends.

"I didn't realize that there would be a zoo at my house when I got home." My mom says as she walks over to me and April.

Ash, April, Clarity, Kate, Rose, and I are all out in the front yard. All afternoon we have been playing with Rose and joking around in the front yard.

Currently Rose is trying to find Ash who is quietly sneaking around behind her.

"Everyone wanted to see Rose before we go to the restaurant later tonight so I invited them over." I say glancing over at her. "I hope that's fine."

"Oh it's no problem. I just forget sometimes that you actually have friends." my mom says with a smirk similar to my own. I guess that's where I get it from.

April giggles as my mom laughs and I glare at them.

"Hey sweetie." my mom says waving to April.

"Hey Ms. Parks." April smiles.

"Oh no more of that Ms. Parks crap. Just call me Jamie." my mom says.

April smiles at my mother once more."Yes ma'am." she says to my mother.

"Oh mom. April is staying with us tonight because her parents aren't home." At this my mother smile grows even wider. She really likes April and I can't help but smile.

"Alright. April you're welcome to stay whenever you want. You make my daughter smile like she hasn't in many years. Heck you even make her apologize and blush, something I'd never thought would happen." my mother tells April. Damn it mom. Why do you do this to me? I fight the blush that tries to rise onto my cheeks.
