"Okay everyone here's the plan. We go in here and I'll get the stuff for the main meals we will need and you guys get snacks and drinks." Ash says.
We are all sitting in the van in front of the grocery store. As soon as we left the restaurant we came here to stock up on food. We had a good time and I loved doing karaoke with Kacey. It was amazing and I think she had fun too.
"Whatever Ash, lets just go." Kacey says with a roll of her eyes.
I open the door and step out the van, Kacey and the others following shortly behind.
"I'll race ya." I joke with Kacey and take off across the parkinglot into the store.
I can feel Kacey right on my hills so I speed up and run to the back of the store and hooking a left, sliding into an empty space under one of the shelves.
I sit and wait for several minutes until I hear the thud of combat boots on the tile. They slow when they near me and I hold my breathe so that my hiding spot within in the metal bars of the shelves won't be given away.
Kacey keeps walking and I sigh in relief. Just as I go to change hiding spots two strong arms wrap firmly around my stomach as they pull me slightly backwards, shocking me and making my heart jump into my chest.
"Surprise." the voice of my attacker whispers and my instant reaction is to scream and escape their grip, but as I try to leave they pull me flush against them.
"Hey, Sunshine. Calm down its just me, it's Kacey." I slump in her hold and calm my breathing. Thank god it's only her and not a real attacker. I know most people would be mad but I know she was just playing around and didn't know that I would react like that.
"You scared the shit out of me Kace." I sigh.
"I'm sorry I didn't think that you'd freak out that much. I wasn't thinking I'm sorry, Red." she apologizes.
"I'm not upset, just a little startled it's fine. But how the heck did you get behind me?" I question her, still leaning against her.
"You see those boxes?" she points to the left and I nod at her.
"I went on the other side of them and then quietly slipped behind them so that I could grab you before you escaped." Kacey explains and I smile.
"Smart." I compliment her and she chuckles, finally letting me go.
I kind of miss the contact but I know contact isn't her thing and we need to go get some snacks and drinks for the house this week. I move out from under the shelves and smile when Kacey almost bumps her head on the rail. She's not quite short enough to miss it.
"Where do you want to start off at?" I question her as I link our arms together and begin to walk down the isle.
"I vote that we start in the candy isle." Kacey suggest and I shrug, its as good of a place as any seeing as there is no one with us this week that doesn't eat candy.
"Let me guess, you want gummy bears." I joke as I bump my hip against hers.
"How did you come up with that?" the brunette asks playfully.
"I'm just psychic like that." I joke back with my friend as we continue to find the candy isle. Its not long before we reach it.
Kacey searches the shelves before finding her damn gummy bears that I swear she loves more then us sometimes. Can we talk about how cute it actually is that its her favorite candy. Most teens like chocolate or hard candies not gummy bears. But here Kacey, the supposed badass, stands happily pulling a big bag of gummies off the shelf.
