"Mom! Rose! I'm home!" I shout dropping my bag as Rose comes running through the house and into my arms. I hold her tight me as I spin in circles.

"I missed you so much munchkin." I whisper into her hair.

"I missed you too sissy." My little sister  says happily as I set her down on the floor.

I look up to see my mom smiling in the doorway at me and Rose. I walk to her my arms open for a hug and her eyes light up as she wraps me in her embrace.

"I missed you mommy." I mumble into her shoulder just like I use to when I was much younger.

"And I missed this side of my daughter for all these years." mom states as her voice wavers slightly with emotion.

"Me too mom, me too." I say rubbing a hand over her back before finally pulling away from her as I place a kiss to her cheek.

"I'm going to go unpack and then come back to hang out with you guys for a while but I'm going to need to borrow the car later so that I can take Ash and the girls their presents." I tell her as I scoop my suitcase from the floor and head into my room.

It feels so good to be home. Don't get me wrong I loved being with my friends all the time and cuddling April whenever I wanted, but it's just nice to be back home.

As soon as I finish putting all my clothes back in my closet I gather up everyone's Christmas gifts in the corner of my room.

With everything combined the load is very heavy and I can't move it to the car without struggling slightly. My mom laughs as I move through the living room with the heavy bags and I just glare over at her.

Sighing in relief I lean against the side of our car before running into the house to chat with my mom and Rose.

I just catch up with the two of them on their time without me and then share a few stories from my little vacation. We laugh for a while but then I decide that I had better get a move on before it gets too late. I place a kiss on my mom and sisters cheek as a farewell before heading back to the car.

Once in the car I head straight to Ash's house. He lives closest to me and his gift is the easiest to carry.

I pull up to the large iron gates of his parents mansion and shout into the intercom.

"It's you favorite crazy girl!" I scream and then the gates start to open.

I zoom up the driveway laughing as I see Ash run outside to greet me. The idiot could have just waited in the damn house like a normal person.

Reaching into the passenger seat I grab his gift bag and get out the car. The cool winter air hits my body instantly making me regret not bringing a jacket with me like I should have. I know that when I finally arrive at April's that she's gonna be beyond pissed at me once more.

"Hey Kace. Didn't I just see you a few hours ago?" He jokes with a playful smirk, his green eyes shining with happiness.

"Oh hush. I brought you a present so just be quiet and accept that I'm being nice for once. Don't make me change my mind." I threaten, poking a finger to his chest before handing him his gift.

Excitedly I watch as my life long best friend pulls a brand new pair of boxing gloves from the bag.His eyes go wide and he looks at me. He saw these gloves at the mall the other day and said that he liked them but we didn't have time to go in the store and buy them so I got them for him.

"Dude no way. I love these." Ash says turning them over in his hands. "Thank you so much Kacey."

"No problem Ash. I'm just glad I could get you something this year." I say with a huge smile it feels amazing to finally get my friends actual gifts.
