I heard Marzia scream my name but I was too afraid to respond. What would they do to her? Felix was safe at least... I think. The bros hadn't mentioned him at all but Anthony's name had come up a few times in their conversations. Strange. I heard a low groan from behind me, causing me to stiffen in fear. It was only when I saw Anthony in the darkness that I relaxed. I made my over to him and sat guard next to him. Some time later, there was movement from behind me as he sat up slowly. I must have startled him as he was staring at me with a confused expression on his face, making me laugh. "Stephano?" He whispered.

"Hello, Anthony," I replied, "How have you-"

"Where's Felix and Marzia?"

I sighed. I knew he'd want to know why I was here without the other 2. I told him all about the ambush and how Felix had escaped. I told him how Marzia was HERE but not in this room. As I told him all about what had happened the past few hours, I saw him nod his head slightly everytime I said something to show he was listening. It was only once I had finished speaking that Anthony spoke up. "He have to get out of here," He stated.

"Even if we COULD escape," I replied with a sigh, "the bros have locked the exit. There's no way we'll be able to get out of here before they locate us."

"So you're just going to give up?"

I didn't respond.  Escape was impossible even for MY determination. "There's nothing we can do now but wait."

"You taught me that you have to fight for what you believe in and that you should NEVER give up. Even when things seem like they're impossible."

Anthony was right; I shouldn't give up! We wade our way out of dangerous situations before, we can do it again. Bravely, I ran towards the door and kicked it, knocking it off it's hinges. Sweet. We stood side by side and ran down the corridor. We had to find Marzia before it was too late

I stopped outside of an unlocked door. Of course it was unlocked; Marzia was bound to the wall inside last time I saw her. I told Anthony to wait outside as I opened the door and entered. I stopped in my tracks and let my mouth gape in horror. Marzia was tied to one of those vile bros. I swore under my breath, causing Marzia to glance up. I thought I was angry at the bro for BEING there but what I saw made me more angry than I had been previously. Down her right cheek were marks. I don't mean small marks that'll heal quickly, I mean three huge CLAW marks. I crept over to her, careful not to wake the bro up and cut the rope that bound Marzia's wrist with my sword. At first she could do nothing, as if she had been paralysed, but then started to run when she realised she now had the ability. I grabbed Anthony's arm and we sprinted down another spooky corridor, picking up the pace when we heard a deep growl come from the room Marzia had been in moments before. We knew we couldn't run forever so we ran inside the first open door we saw and barricaded it from the inside. It's not much but it'll do. I recognised this room instantly and walked over to the ensuite that had been installed for "guests". I grabbed the cloth from the sink, ran it under some cold water and strolled back into the bedroom to find Marzia and Anthony hugging on the bed. I handed her the wet cloth and she put it on her cheek hesitantly as if she thought I had put something dangerous on it. They continued to sit on the bed while I sat on the floor, guarding them.

Eventually, I decided to break the silence. "What happened to your cheek?" I asked Marzia cautiously.

"The bro untied me when the barrel..." she trailed off," When the Barrel took you. He thought that one you was out of the room I wouldn't get any idea to escape. I kicked him and ran for it, only to discover there was another one standing outside."

"Was it the other bro that marked your cheek?"

She nodded. "He had a feeling I was escaping and stopped me. then they both tied me up again so that I couldn't escape. I was so afraid I was never gonna see you again. I thought..." Tears fell from her beautiful green eyes, causing me to get up and put my arms around her in a pathetic attempt to comfort her. I should never have asked for her help. I knew there would be risks to this but I put myself and my friends before Marzia, Felix and Anthony's safety. "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault," she sniffed, "You needed my help; I didn't HAVE to say yes." She hugged me tightly and sighed. "It's not your fault this happened Stephano." We sat like this until I felt her grip on me become loose and I laid her down softly. She'll need the sleep, I thought, She's going to need her strength to escape from the house.
