We opened the door slowly, hoping not to reveal our location to the enemies. Once we checked that noone was coming, me and Anthony snuck out of our hiding place with our lantern and a piece of wood as a weapon. We had to find Stephano, even if it meant going head to head with a Bro. We tiptoed down the corridor, keeping our eyes and ears open for anything suspicious. Stephano, where are you? I thought. I heard a crash from one of the rooms in front of us, causing Anthony to get behind me in fear. Typical. I raised my weapon as if I was a warrior, trained for moments like this. I saw a shadow in front of me, causing me to swing the wood in fear. It was only when the shadow hit the floor that I realised what I'd done. What I thought was a bro turned out to be Stephano. Shoot. I looked at Anthony, who just shrugged. We just knocked out the ONLY person in this house that we can trust to protect us. Anthony grabbed hold of Stephano while I removed his sword. This could help us, I thought. Just as Anthony dragged Stephano halfway down the corridor, I heard a ghastly groan from behind me. I sighed. Not you again. I lifted Stephano's sword slowly, to catch the enemy by surprise, and swung it. The creature growled in pain and collapsed onto the wooden floor. Nice. We continued to get Stephano to safety, being cautious of bros and barrels. Especially the barrels. We managed to get the statue to our room and barricaded the room again. I lifted Stephano up and placed him carefully on the bed, feeling guilty for hitting him on the head with the wood. I saw Anthony slide down the wall to sit on the floor, looking depressed. I walked over to him and sat next to him. "What's up?" I asked him, "Stephano will be fine if that's what you're worried about."

"It's not that," Anthony replied after hesitation, "I'm concerned about Felix and Ian."

"They'll be fine, Anthony."

"How do you know?"

I thought about this one. "Because they would be here if they WEREN'T fine, wouldn't they?"

I saw Anthony laugh. "I guess you're right."

I leaned on Anthony while we waited for Stephano to wake up. Why did I hit him THAT hard? I asked myself, It really wasn't necessary. We sat in silence, waiting for something noone was sure would happen; Stephano waking up.

After what felt like years later, Stephano slowly sat up on the bed and looked around, confused. His gaze landed on us and he smiled with relief. I smiled back at him, glad he was awake. "Hey Stephano."

"Why?" was all he said. It took a minute to understand what he meant by Why. He meant 'Why did you hit me around the head with a massive piece of wood?'

"Sorry Stephano," I replied sheepishly, "I thought you was a bro."

"You Know, Marzia, that's offensive around here."

"Sorry."

He chuckled one of his strange laughs. "I came to look for you guys. Why did you leave the room?"

"Because we were coming to look for YOU."

He nodded at my response. I asked him if he found the key and with a sigh, he said no. He explained what had happened when he left the room: The barrel, who he called Jeff, Mr chair saving him and his coming to search for us. He told us that he left Mr Chair in charge of finding the key while we explored the house a bit. I was nervous about this. Anthony had been here before; I hadn't. I didn't know what could be lurking in the house, waiting to get me. I was so deep in thought that I didn't see Stephano grimace at me. "What?" I asked him.

"My sword?" was all he responded with. Oops.

I handed it back to him. "Sorry," I apologised, "I needed a decent weapon."

"So the wood wasn't enough for you?"

"I'm afraid not."

He chuckled as he slid his sword back into the loop on his belt. Once that was sorted, we ventured out again in search of supplies.
