The door opened to reveal two shadows. One of them was pulling on someone, or something, else. It was too dark to see the object. The shadow starting pushing and kicking his way out of the room with little success.  It was only when he gave up that he noticed me. "Who's there?" he called out towards me. That voice. He must've been mad about the silence cos he shouted again, "WHO ARE YOU?" My head snapped up towards the voice and tried to find the words to say my name but couldn't. "Stephano?" Was all I could say. I must've made some gears turn because the next thing he said was, "Marzia?" and started to walk towards me. I nodded my head, unable to make proper words yet. What happened? Maybe Stephano could fill in the blanks. I was about to ask him when he grabbed my wrist and swore under his breath. "He's going to pay." He said and then composed himself. He looked around again for something sharp but then took something out of his jacket. Are you kidding me? HE HAS A KNIFE?! I stared at him furiously while he cut the ropes that bound me to the wall. Instantly, I rubbed my wrists. They were covered in cuts where I had tugged for so long. Next to me Stephano was staring at my wrists, obviously mad about my kidnapping. He held out his hand out, indicating I should hand him my wrist. "What happened this time?" He asked me. All I did was shrug and tell him I woke up like that. "What happened? Last thing I remember is the clinking of metal."

He was clearly unprepared for that. "I was fighting the barrel off of you. He knocked you out." Oh. The barrel I shouldn't have touched but did. "Sorry, Stephano."

"What's done is done." Was all he said and sat down next to me. He wasn't going to try and escape again? He was giving up? As if he had heard my thoughts he looked at me and sighed. "The door's reinforced. They knew I'd try and escape." As if on cue, the door opened to reveal... A STATUE?! I looked over at Stephano who pulled me closer to him. The statue was roughly Stephano's height but instead of being gold, he was bright blue. I could see he was carrying two swords: Blue and Gold. Stephano's sword. The statue started to walk towards me but Stephano stood between us. The blue statue just laughed at him and shoved him aside before grabbing me. He started to pull me out of the room until Stephano broke his grip, causing me to fall to the floor. I watched as Stephano and the statue fought for me. Be careful, Stephano. The blue statue fell to the floor, causing me to look at them. Stephano had managed to knock him out. I stood up and, before I knew it, we started to run. We didn't know where we were running but we knew we had to run. I heard Stephano's sword slide out of the loop it was hung in and he pulled me closer to him. We ran into a room, shocked to find it was full of friends. Anthony, Alicia, Piggeh and Mr Chair were sitting in the room but quickly sprung to their feet to help barricade the door. My first reaction was to hug Anthony. He made no effort to pull away like the first time I had hugged him.  We heard a cough from behind us and turned to find Stephano giving us a 'what are you doing?' look. We pulled away from each other and they started to fill me in on what had happened. Stephano had fought off the barrel but was knocked out when he bandaged my arm. When he woke up, I was gone and he had left the room to find me, only to be captured by the Blue statue that had tried to harm me. Stephano informed me that his name was Glen and that he had always been Jealous of the other statues as they could fight better than he could. As I took this all in, my mind started to wonder. What was the castle like BEFORE humans inhabited it? Did they ALWAYS fight? As I thought about this, I felt myself get drowsy and I fell  into a deep sleep.

===============================================

I swung my golden sword swiftly at the barrel that stood before me. This was a battle only I could stop; me and the statues. Anthony and Alicia couldn't fight them as they were friends with them. Stephano would feel some remorse if he harmed the bros too, meaning this was left to me. once I had slain the barrel I had been fighting, I ran down the dark corridor to find a blue statue at the end, fighting with a human I knew as well as I knew myself. Felix. I sprinted down the corridor, hoping to get to them before it was too late. I was suddenly pulled to a stop and spun around, gasping in horror to find it was the same barrel I had killed moments before. Jeff. I pulled against his grip but it was impossible; I was trapped. I could do nothing but watch as the statue swung his sapphire sword at Felix, causing him to fall. It was then that the barrel released me. Instantly, I ran over to Felix, cradling his head in my arms and crying. "No," I said, "Take me not him." I repeated this over and over until I saw his eyes flutter open weakly. "Marzia."

"Felix?" I cried.

"I love you."

"I love you too." He gave me a small peck on the lips and went slack in my arms. No. NO! I stood up furiously. I would avenge his death; It's what he'd have wanted. I lifted my sword and sliced the statue across his chest. He staggered back and fell to the floor, defeated. His death didn't matter to me; Felix's did. I laid by his side and cried until I could cry no more.
