"Come in, quickly!" She pulled the door open and motioned me inside. After she closed the door she motioned to a butler and quickly whispered to him. He took off down the hall whispering to any other staff he saw. The Bienceness brought me into the living room and we sat. A maid brought in some hot chocolate.
"What has happened to my son?" A look of a mother's worry still on her face.
"The police came to the door and told him he was under arrest for assisting me, and the murder of Skylar fillis."
"Who is Skylar fillis?"
"He was a boy that went to school with me an Jaxon. He, he sat next to me in English."
"Oh where you two friends?"
"Ya, I think he had a crush on me. He died at my party on Halloween."
"Your Halloween party?" She made a thinking face, I tried to see what she was thinking but her shield was up.
"Hello Katie, I have been told I'm needed." Jaxons dad walked in and Jaxons mother stood up. He walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her stomach like Jaxon holds me.
"Honey, we need to bail Jaxon out of Jail. He was arrested for helping Katie, and for murdering another teen."
"Again? I'll get the car started. Katie you can return to your home. We have it under control."
"But I can't."
"Why?"
"They have a search warrant for his house. They are going to find all of my stuff and Jacobs. Then the charges against Jaxon will be affirmed." Jaxons father started to panic. He pulled out his phone and started to talk to someone.
"Ceat! Ceat! Emergency! Ceat!"
Jaxons mom ran to the door and unlocked it. The ran upstairs. Jacob ran up to me and held onto my hip.
"What's wrong Katie? Why is everyone running?"
"I don't know." I looked to Jaxons father who was on his fourth call saying the same thing. What the heck did ceat even mean. After he hung up he told me to go help his wife. He grabbed the car keys and left in a hurry.
I picked up Jacob and ran upstairs. I walked into the room and almost ran into the maid running out.
"What's going on? What is ceat?"
Jaxons mother pulled out a bunch of suitcases and started filling them.
"Coven emergency, abandon town. If Jaxon is convicted we have to run to hide our secret. Every vampire in town is on their way here.
"Aly's coming?" Jacobs eyes glistened with excitement.
"Abandon town?" I asked over Jacob
"What do mean abandon town? When will we be back, where are we going to go?"
"We will probably come back in about 100 years, but the clan will vote on where we are going."
"Aly's coming!" Jacob ran downstairs. I started to help her pack. When the last suitcase was packed, the doorbell rang. 30 minutes later, every family was packed in the living room worriedly chatting to each other. I recognized one of the teenage boys from my school. He waved at me and walked over to him.
"So how's the vamp life?"
"Your a vampire?"
"Nah, I'm going to change in college, seems like to much pressure in high school, ya know?"
"Ya."
"So you and Jaxon huh?"
"Wasn't exactly my choice but ya, its nice."
"Huh."
A door slammed and everyone in the room went silent.
"My husband is running into a few difficulties at the station. There is garlic everywhere apparently. So we will explain the situation. Jaxon was arrested and is being charged." Everyone gasped and some started to whisper. Someone spoke in the crowd.
"Why do we have to leave for your sons fault?"
Other people agreed and whisperdd around the man that spoke.
"If I rememeber right Jordan we had to bail you out of trouble a year or two ago. Am I correct?" She gave him a look and continued.
"Ideas anyone?"
"Utah, it has some good schools for the kids, good jobs for us and we can find a small enough town." Someone piped in. Another responded.
"Earthquakes and snow?" Others nodded and agreed with that.
"What about Minnesota? Its got some rural parts."
"California."
"Kentucky."
"Colorado."
People started spitting out places by the second. It got too overwhelming. The Bienceness cleared her throat. Everyone stopped and looked at her.
"We need good schools in a big enough city that it won't notice 78 people moving in at one time. That is also safe and has no other vampire clans. Agreed?" Everyone nodded their heads. Aly popped In an answer.
"What about Arizona? Its hot but when we passed through there were no other vampires."
Every mouth in the group dropped open and started talking to each other. Alys father started talking to her.
"Does everyone agree with that?"
Everyone nodded.
"Alright if your not in favor of Arizona raise your hand."
We all looked around. No hands raised.
"Alright, we know where we are going. We will all leave family by family, hopefully me and my husband will be the last to leave in a year. Who's will be the first to leave?"
Before anyone could answer the garage door slammed and Jaxons father walked in. Everyone bowed and waited to hear the news. I looked for Jaxon and didn't seem him.
"We leave tonight, where are we going?" The Bienceness looked at him and searched for her son.
"Honey, Where is Jaxon?"
"Where are we going?"
"Arizona, Where is Jaxon?" A look of concern crossed everyone's face.
"They know what we are, a vampire hunter is back in town. We leave tonight. Jaxons blood and DNA are being tested. As soon as results are in they will come after us. We leave now." I got angry, he wouldn't tell us about Jaxon.
"Where is Jaxon!!!!! We have asked you a million times now you better tell us!!!"
Everyone gasped and their eyes widened in fear. They looked at me and the Biencen. He turned to me.
"He's in holding, they won't release him."
"So when will we get him?"
"We won't. We have to leave him to deal with his punishment." Everyone gasped and some people started to cry. The Biencen grabbed some bags and turned.
"We can't leave him! When they find out what we are they will do experiments and things on him. Or kill him!"
He turned around, pain in his eyes.
"We don't have a choice."
"Can't we use the Trian to change the future so they don't find anything on the DNA? Or go in and change their mind with the laughlin?"
No every thing in that building is covered in garlic and in order for this to work we have to be in the building. But that would kill almost everyone, Jaxon may not even be alive." Pure quietness swept the room.
"There has to be something we can do, please anything he's your son!"
"Katie enough! We are leaving him there is nothing we can do! He will be left here! End of discussion!!!."
