The one night alone

The propsal

He held me the entire night, anytime I squirmed or moved his grip tightened. He knew exactly what I wanted and he wouldn't let me. Eventually I gave up and fell asleep.

When I woke up in the morning I was completely alone. My vision still kinda blurry, I swing myself out of bed. I go and take a shower. I was scrubbing my scalp when everything from the night before came back. Anger pooled everywhere in my body. I want the Biencen dead. I finished showering and got dressed. I started on my makeup when my door opened.
"Katie?" I remained silent.
"I brought you your favorite breakfast." Crap I did not plan this..
"I'm in the bathroom." He came in a minute later with a tray of food. Banana bread pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and orange juice. My mouth started to water. Be strong Katie! Be strong!
"Wait is that?.."
"Glazed pineapple? Yes, yes it is."
"Give me, give me now!"
"Please?"
"Jaxon! Give Me the food!" He laughed and set it in front of me then pulled up a chair. He seemed tense but I figured its because he knows what I want. I almost finished my food when Jaxon stood up and kissed me on the cheek.
"I love you." My heart melted, even though I wanted his dad dead I still loved him. I grabbed his hand.
"Where are you going?" He didn't meet my eyes. He is hiding something.
"Downstairs, I'll be back soon I promise." I watched him walk out while I saw in silence. What could he be hiding?
I watched him the rest of the day. Completely forgetting about my desire yo kill his father. He seemed fine until lunch when he again started to act weird. He had set down our sandwiches and looked at the clock. He drumed his fingers while slowly eating.
"What's up with you today?" I finally decided to ask.
"Nothing." I gave him a look. He didn't meet my eyes.
"Jaxon, I know your lying to me. You keep looking at the clock and you seem very nervous."
He looked up at Me annoyed, I gave him a serious look. He sighed.
"Alys Birthday is today, she is having a party. Her mom is supposed to have picked jacob up by now."
"Why are you so nervous about that?"
"I just Don't want him to be late that's all." He stood up and left. We left it at that. But I know he's still hiding something from me. A knock sounded at the door. I stood up and answered it.
"I'm so sorry we are late!"
"Its fine let me grab him. Jacob!!"
"I'm right here."
"Are you ready to go?"
"Yep."
"Have fun!" I gave him a hug. "Tell Aly happy birthday from me." Both of them give me A very confused look.
"OK..." They hurried out and I realized. Its not Alys birthday, Jaxon lied.
"Jaxon!!!!" I'm going to find out what he's hiding. I heard his shower start. Oh no he didn't, he's hiding something from me. And now he's avoiding me. I ran upstairs and burst into his room.
"Hello darling!" He stood by his bathroom door with a towel around his waist. "Did Jacob leave?"
"Yes, but its not Alys birthday." His head jerked up. "Why did you lie to me?"
"I'm getting in the shower."
"Jaxon!" He ran I to the bathroom and I followed him.
"If you dont want to see me naked you should probably leave." I folded my arms over my chest.
"Answer."
"No."
"Jaxon!"
"I'm taking this towel off." I covered my eyes. He laughed.
"Katie you should leave." I shook my head no. He sighed. I felt him wrap his arms around me.
"I will explain everything when I get out of the shower. Ok?"
I peeked through my eyes at his face. He was actually looking me in the eye. Keeping my eyes up I hugged him back.
"Ok.." He held my face and kissed me.
"You sure you don't want to join me?" He gave me a grin. I threw a towel at him.
"I'm sure." I walked out of the room and sat on his bed.
Twenty minutes later he walked out in his towel again buy with water dripping off his muscles. Oh he was so hoy and toned. I had almost forgot.
"Get in something formal we are going out to dinner." I gave him a u o me look. And he ignored it and walked back in the bathroom. I groaned and walked across the hall to my room. I walked on my closet and started shuffling through my clothes. I found a long blue dress with a v neck and beading. I put it on and curled my hair. Sophie walked in and gasped.
"I was supposed to help you get ready, but how do I help someone flawless?" I laughed dismissing the compliment.
"Do you know where we are going? He's been hiding something from me all day and I wan to know if this is it." She looked at me a grinned.
"I'm not supposed to tell you its a surprise." I groaned and she laughed. "I'm going to tell my brother that your ready." She left and I clipped my necklace. I walked out and saw Jaxon in a suit. He held out his hand and we walked downstairs. We got in his car and started driving.
"Where are we going?"
"To dinner."
"Where?"
"Its a surprise." I groaned again. Why does everything have to be a surprise? "You'll love it I promise." He said. He grabbed my hand and continued driving.
"What are you hiding from me?"
"I'm not hiding anything. Your my girlfriend we aren't supposed to keep secrets from each other." He face stayed straight and I was about to scream. He pulled on to the highway. And I remained silent til we pulled off. We pulled into a parking lot in front of a restrant called Le Belle. He parked the car and ran around and opened my door. We headed inside and he sat me down in the corner and told the hostess we were here. Within minutes we were sitting in a private room in the back. The waitress took our orders and left. Jaxon was tapping his fingers again.
"Why are you nervous?" I asked resting my hand on his. He looked at me.
"You can't freak out ok?" I gave him a look of confusal. "Promise?"
"Ok? What's this about?" He took a big breath and stood up. He turned my chair and got on one knee. I gasped when I finally realized what's going on.
"Katie Dannet, will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?"
