The one night alone

The suprises

Two hours later we landed and I had slept most of the ride. We slowly stood up and followed everyone off the plane. We still were cloaked and became very cautious of everything. Sophie and Maddy were in front, Sophie and the driver were holding hands. We exited the terminal and went through baggage claim. We headed to the exit when Maddy stopped.
"Uh oh." We all looked to where she was looking. Two security guards were standing at the entrance checking everyone leaving. I looked around and saw more security guards around checking through people.
"Jaxon, they are everywhere." I grabbed his hand and held it tight.
"I know. Shhh."
We approached the gate and stood in line. My grip on jaxon increased. Our turn.
"I.d please."
"Wha?"
"I.d"
"I don understand?"
"Does anyone know Chinese?" The security guard shouted.
Somone in the back handed him a translator. He typed in what he was asking for then showed her the screen translation. She squinted then looked at Jaxon and then too her husband. Her husband looked at it and looked at Jaxon. I remember some of the Chinese from my intro to foreign language class and spoke to Sophie. She responded back in Chinese. I approached the translator trying to keep up the act in hope they would let us through. I pretended to look confused. I spoke again but to maddy. And all of looked around. The security guard groaned, and people behind us started to grumble. A man approached the security guard and whispered to him.
"Gēnzhe wǒ (follow me)." He motioned us towards him and started walking we followed this man through the gate and down a hallway. I started to panick. Jaxons thumb started to rub my hand. The man looked back towards us and I realized I recognized him... But from where? He looked forward again and I tried to read his mind. I couldn't. Something was wrong. That pit in my stomach increased, I looked to Jaxon and gave him a look of some things up. He nodded and looked forward. We entered a room and I instantly smelled garlic. They knew who we were, how did they follow us? A gaurd came in with a gun and locked the door. We all started to backup slowly. I read the gaurds mind and an image memory popped up. The man who brought us in here was speaking to us. "They are dangerous. Worse than ur story tale vampires. They can change into anything they want to. Shoot them if they do anything. These bullets are completely garlic and knockout powder, should put them out." I looked directly at the man who had now sat in the head chair. He motioned us to sit staring directly at me with an evil smile.
"You can take off your cloaks now. We have you there is no escape."
Sophie looked at me and then to the driver. Everyone's cloaks remained on.
"Come on now, Katie. Do you really think I would hurt you and your boyfriend and friends." He stared directly at me. I tried to read his mind again. Nothing.
"You can stop trying to read my mind its blocked. If you cooperate, I will tell you everything."
I took my shield off and stared at him. Everyone else did the same. The security guard gasped and his mind raced but I ignored it.
"That's better." He pushed a remote button and everyone jumped.
"Relax, its just to turn off the cameras. A minute later the buzz of electricity coming from the cameras turned off. Everyone relaxed except me. Jaxon spoke.
"Who are you?" The man laughed and smiled. I looked up at the vent and saw some white powder slowly coming out. Sophie started to cough followed by the driver, maddy then Jaxon. When it reached me I took a breath and held my breath. Garlic. They're coughing got worse. He stood up and started injecting sophie with a needle. The driver tried to stand to fight him but couldn't. I watched and pretended to cough and choke. I took a breath in and started coughing for real. Sophie fell on the table and the driver tried to crawl away Jaxon stood up to protect me. I started to cough harder and the vent stopped. Jaxon and the driver both passed out. I pretended to pass out to see what they would do. The man walked up to me and brushed my hair away.
"You've grown up so much since the last ime I've seen you. Your so much like your mother. If only you hadn't followed in her footsteps." He started to walk away.
"Deliver them to the destination. Don't hurt them unless necessary." The door opened and closed. The security guard called for some assistance and started towards the driver. I opened my eyes and looked to Jaxon.
"Wake up please, Jax. Please."
His thoughts were hazy but they were still going. The door opened again and I turned us all invisible. The security guards started firing. I ran to the corner and watched them hit everyone. Jaxon was for sure out now. I turned all the bullets invisible if they were supposed to hit me. The main gaurf called them to stop. He fired once at each of the locations where the vampires were supposed to be.
"They are all still there, they just turned invisible for some reason. Look the bullets disapered. Grab them the van is in the back. Two went to each person I ran and sat in the chair as two gaurds reached for me. I took the cloak off but I cloaked myself with bullet wounds. Some got startled but they all said something along the lines of, makes sense or that's scary. The guards picked me up and I went limp.
"God this one is heavier than she looks."
Oh no he didn't, I'm not that fat! I don't say anything though. Can't be caught now. They took us out the door and loaded us in the truck. The doors were about to shut when I turned us invisible again. A gaurd screamed but then slammed the doors heavily when he realized it happened again.
I barely opened my eyes and listened for a hum of electricity. Nothing, so I opened my eyes entirely and sat up. I looked around. The entire trunk was empty with the exception of the four other vampires that were completely passed out. The drivers door opened and someone hopped in. The truck started and pulled out. I scooted over to Maddy and started to pull the bullets out. The garlic barely burned but I pulled out about 7 out of her back. The bullet wounds almost completely healed instantly. I flipped her over and pulled all the ones out of the front of her. She had one lodged right between her eyebrows in her kill. That one took a while to get out. I then started on the driver. Then on Sophie. Then came to Jaxon, I got half of his out before the car pulled in and stopped. The drivers door opened and closed and I turned us all invisible again. Footsteps went away from the truck so I decided to put all the bullets in a pile. Then layed down again and turned them all invisible and turned myself invisible. Two footsteps approached the truck.
"Just in here, they switch between invisible and not so I'm warning you."
"Sounds good." The doors opened and the invisibility stayed.
"I see what you mean. Don't worry we got them." More footsteps approached. Someone reached in and felt around til the landed on my foot. I turned the cloak on us to appear like we still had the bullets in us. The gaurd jumped.
"I will never get used to that. They are all yours." Several men reached in and pulled us out. They started carrying us into a giant house. I heard the truck doors slam and the engine start. We were put into a cold room full of garlic. I tried not to cough. We were sat in chairs and the men left. A pair of footsteps came in later.
"How long will they be knocked out?" A women's voice said.
"Until the bullets are removed." The man from the airports voice. It was so fimiliar. How did I know it?
"Do I need the garlic in my hair so they can't get in my mind?"
"No. They are asleep. You'll be fine Andrea. But I need to be alone with them. Leave us please."
"Yes sir." The women left and again I stretched out to read his mind. He approached me and sighed. A memory flashed through his head.

Hello Zach, merry Christmas! I saw my mom speaking to him. She hugged him and he came in. My father shook his hand. "Nice to see you too again. Where is Foster and Katie? Katie is in the living room and foster is-"
"I'm right here momma."
I saw my older brother approach my mother and hug this supposed Zach. I missed my brother after he died in the accident. "How are you uncle Zach?" "Good." I saw a little girl run down the hallway, maybe 5, and jump into his arms. "Hello katie!"

The memory was cut off when Maddy moaned. Zach stood up and left the room. I gasped. That little girl was me! And if remember right that man was my uncle Zach. Twin brother too my mother. My uncle Zach was alive...
