Ashara was about to head down to the pond in the Godswood, to see her admirer, when there came another knock at the door. she opened the door to Arya in her nightgown. Ashara knew exactly what she wanted, a story.
Arya sat on the bed as Ashara shared their favorite tale;
Many moons ago, when Westeros had not yet been united, there were three islands to the west. Each governed itself and had its own ruler. King Arii rules the island of Ariies, the largest, with his family, King Declan ruled the isle of Declesse, the most lush, with his wife, and King Caystor ruled Castoria, the smallest. The three isles were always at war, all wanted control and power, and with the lush for control the kings grew more selfish and blind in themselves. One day King Arii decided to ambush King Caystor during the night. But on his way to the isle he had to turn and go back to Ariies for a ferocious storm had taken set. The Kings thought it was the worst storm in moons. But little did any of the rulers know that the storm was the fault of an giant ancient silver serpent awakening from its slumber of a thousand years. He was hungry and had the thirst for destruction. The next morn news had reached King Arii and King Declan that the serpent had destroyed King Caystor and his isle in the night, and it was headed to King Declan. Declan pleaded Arii for his help, or they would all be destroyed. King Arii, who was a smart and wise man, sent only three of his twenty ships to King Declan’s aid, so he would have others to protect his isle. When Arii arrived he was horrified to see the lush, beautiful isle of Declesse destroyed and in ruin, all its people dead. The Silver Serpent was satisfied and started its way to Ariies, but there was one thing in his way, King Arii and his three ships. The serpent chuckled and destroyed two of the three ships with a flick of his tail. The Serpent was about to destroy the ship when he was stopped by something. King Arii’s singing prayer, the serpent was charmed and impressed and chose not to destroy Arii and his island kingdom. The serpent became part of the kingdom of Ariies. After the event people named King Wynn Arii, King of Serpents. Legend says that when the Silver Serpent died so did the kingdom, some say the kingdom still exists.
"Ashara," yawned Arya.
"Yes."
"You're an Arii."
"Yes I am."
"Are you a descendent from King Wynn Arii," she asks curiously.
"I don't think so, I don't think Ariies exists or ever did, I think it's just a myth."
"I think it's real," Arya yawned as her eye lids closed.
Ashara pet Arya's black hair, she picked her up and put her to bed in her chambers.
When she entered she saw the admirer letter on the floor, then she remembered, she was to meet the man behind the note at the pond by the Godswood at the last sun and that was coming quickly. She pulled on a light cloak and ran out the castle to the pond. At the pond there was a note.
Your eyes shine like the moon.
Meet me at the largest pine in the forest.
Love, ?
The largest pine was a tree Ashara used to climb as a child, it was a ways away, better to go on horse back she thought. She took her horse Horas and rode to the tallest pine. She saw another horse with no rider, she was alert.
Then she heard a voice coming from behind the pine, "Your eyes shine like the moon. You are the beauty of all." She recognized the voice.
From behind the tree came Jon Snow.
