Ashara got off of Horas and got to the little girl's level. She looked terrified and malnourished, eyes wide and scared. Her small frame barely held up her own dress on her body, her face looked like the happiness had felt, no light.
"It's ok," she said softly,"I'm not going to hurt you." She gave a warm smile, trying to be friendly. The girl's face lit up at her smile then darkened when Jon and Dand came behind her on their horses. Ashara followed the girl's gaze and hissed at the pair ,"Wait outside the village until I say."
"But," Jon started then noddded when Ashara glared at him. The child instantly relaxed when they left.
Ashara turned to her and asked, "What is your name?"
"Janyance," she said softly.
"I'm Ashara," she replied with another warm smile and held her hand out to help Janyance up.
She hesitated for a moment then took Ashara's hand. She struggled to get up, but Ashara helped her small body up.
"What happened here," Ashara asked looking around at the burnt and broken buildings.
"Men like him came," Janyance said shuttering, reffering to men like Jon.
"Where's your family?"
"They were killed in the attack," Janyance sniffled.
"It's ok," Ashara softly said, "Is there anyone else here?"
"Hiding."
"It's ok," Ashara said loudly, "No harm will come to you. You can come out."
Suddenly two people, a male and female, came out from behind a kicked down slowly.
"Who are you," the male asked.
"I am Ashara," she replied confidently.
As soon as he heard her name he dropped to one knee.
"Your highness," he gasped, then the female dropped to her knees.
"Rise. No need for formalities here, I am here to help," she smiled as the pair rose from their knees, "Are their more of you?"
"Only a few of us survived the attack," the women said sadly.
"It's ok," the man started, "It's Princess Ashara Arii, You can come out."
Out of the buildings and rubble came more people. Men, women, children and some elderly, there were only about fifty people, they all looked as if they haven't bathed or eaten in ages, and they all gathered in the square.
"Who did this," Ashara asked the crowd.
"Westeros men with a Stag," one man shouted.
Baratheon, Joffery, Ashara thought gritting her teeth.
"We have sent messages for help, but no one has come, until now," an elderly women smiled at her.
Then she softly asked the man and women who had first come out if she could bring Jon and Dand back, and the agreed.
When Jon came into view many people gasped and shouted at the sight.
"Men like him attaked us," a frightened women shouted. Jayance clutched onto Ashara's leg tighter.
"It's ok, it's ok," Ashara hushed the crowd, "Jon is a good man and will bring no harm to any of you."
At her statement many people hushed down. She walked over to Dand and Jon as they dismounted of their horses.
"Get the food out, these people need it desperately," she ordered.
"But Ashara," Dand started, "We need to eat for the journey."
"Dand, these people are starving and we have more than enough food to go around, now, thank you," Ashara said turning and walking towards the people. Jon started to unpack the food, and Dand huffed and followed his lead.
"I have brought food and some supplies for you all," she stated. The crowd let out a cheer and some started chanting, Long Live the Princess! Others joined in until the whole village was in the chant.
Jon let out a smile and thought how lucky her was to be in Ashara's life.
